Insects. Bears. Ice and snow. I'm beginning to see why they have trouble attracting immigration.

Regardless of what you think of him, despite the article not being from the Express or Mail it is worth reading as it explains why leaving the customs union will impact on our ability to sell manufactured goods that are made from components obtained overseas.

You mean like the RBS collapse?

The points are valid. For overseas trade deals to be done then the UK cannot stay in the customs union and a free trade agreement is not the same as the trade conditions we currently have in europe

What a ****ing win trio! Fox, Davis, and barmy Boris! <doh>

I suppose at least May can wash her hands of any of their **** ups. 'You voted for Brexit, I've given you the three Brexiteers'

He's no Mr Personality. But, as Steven said, he's worth paying attention to. He's incredibly bright, and knows his stuff!...

She's putting dead men into doomed jobs. Fox and Hunt will go together, fairly appropriately.
She's using David Cameron's sacrificial stooges method of crappy Tory politics.

Personally, I think she's doing exactly the right thing. If she appointed pro Europe people to those posts, they'd be accused of deliberately sticking a spanner in the works by the rabid Brexiteers.

She's doing the perfect thing for her and her party's future.
Kill of some unpopular twats with big heads, put the blame for their failures elsewhere and get dirty jobs done unscathed.
Then she can claim to have learned from their mistakes and the ditched losers carry the can for poor results.

I guess we see it different ways. Personally, I think more proEurope people should have been in those positions. They would lend a more objective view.

But, as I said, if she did that she'd be accused to trying to back out by default, or of deliberately trying to bugger up negotiations.

Instead, she's got the three Brexiteers ( I'm sure there's a meme there!) to **** it up for her And to probably ruin our future relations with Europe for some time to
    Come.

She can then claim that she gave the anti-eu mob what they wanted.

She knows that it's basically an impossible job, though.
People have voted for something that they're not going to get, no matter what happens.
Whoever she appointed was going to be blamed for "****ing it up", regardless of what they actually do.

What do you do in that situation? Give the job to people that you want to get rid of anyway.
May's well aware that she's got some toxic and divisive figures that carry some sway in her party.
This allows her to win on multiple fronts.

Possibly. But given the circumstances, and on such a divisive subject, I think she did the only thing she could do.

Getting rid of troublemakers, like those three, could be regarded as a welcome bonus, yes. And, no, they won't get what they want. What scares me most is all this 'we don't need the single market' rhetoric from Davis & Fox. Like **** we don't!! You pair of clueless ****ing halfwits!

And better rabid pro Brexiteers carry the can for it. At least they can only be accused of incompetence, not skulduggery!...

I still can't get my head around Boris as foreign secretary!

I suspect that a lot of BoJo is a character and that's he not the incompetent that he appears to be.
He's lived in various countries and speaks multiple languages, which is handy.
He's said some stupid **** in the past, so it is a bit of an odd one, but I think that she needed to consider him for something.
Maybe she just wants to keep an eye on him and is hoping that he'll either excel or completely **** up?
The former works for her and the latter finishes him off.
