    I would make it compulsory for a home owner to notify the council tax office for a revaluation of their council tax post significant home improvements, examples being adding additional kitchens or converting a garage into living space like say a home office.

    To get the ball rolling I've done my civic duty and asked Merton council to check this has happened at 362 Church Road, Mitcham :)
