I also once got spat on by a Pakistani lad about 20 yrs old. He was with 3 mates and thought it was funny. It had sweet FA to do with racism but I brayed the c*nt to kingdom come. His mates were so shocked at my response they did nowt. I smashed his face off a bus stop a good few times before he slid down it unconscious. I then stamped on him a few times.
Now this was a long time ago and it had nowt to do with racism. I have no regrets either about doing it tho.
If it had been a white, red, yellow, or whatever colour I would have done it. I would rather be punched or kicked than spat at.

I'd much rather be spat at. My old PE teacher told us the way to win a fight was to hit them first. Someone spits at me I'll clout them. They clout me I'll likely try and rearrange my nose back to its starting form before I can think about hitting them.

With regards to racism, there sort of needs to be a new set of words brought in to bring this up to date.

Race in it's anthropological sense, would create no divide really based on skin colour or religion, it would be much more biological than that.

If I pick a fight with an Iranian man, he and I could share the same race according to anthropology in it's fundamental sense, but today it'd be possibly deemed a racially motivated attack. This is because the definition of racism has been scribbled out and rewritten numerous times now, and what defines a modern 'race' is ethnicity and or religion, so we're being asked to reconsider the meaning of a word that nobody can really explain the most current meaning of.

Some people say if that Iranian picks a fight on me, because I'm white, that's not 'racist' because (and again, this is because it's been confused so much as a term) for racism to happen, there has to be a superior subject and a subordinate subject, based purely on factors such as skin colour, ethnicity blah blah blah, and the white, European, modern day 'Caucasian' can never be considered subordinate, due to evolution, natural selection, whatever you want to call it.

That might go a little way to explaining why white people have this sort of stick which seems to have **** on both ends, we are victims of our own ancestry, in a way.

That's my view, I'll never cry about it, I know the stick has **** on both ends but I don't wanna swap it for anybody else's stick.

How about classifying racism as only comments and actions which insight hate and just accept that ignorance and humor are just a part of life.

    Problem solved.

Well you're talking to me mate, so there'd be no problem with any solution within reason, but when you're dealing with foot-stamping, hard-done-by, nowt-better-to-do folk who think they're changing the world, extreme socialists and the bloke walking round with a reel of red tape, you might as well be stood pissing into a hurricane, no matter what your suggestion is, they'll never be happy.

I've worked in Africa for the last 20 odd years and most of the racism i've encountered has been towards white men and not as you would expect, the other way around. And believe me, they don't try to hide it either, it's in your face full on.

I've got mates from South Africa and they say it's a two way street there. It's a fierce dislike for each other though.

Interesting theory and a lot that I agree with. When I see religion getting mixed up with race it does annoy me..

Speaking of 'PC gone mad', my mate done a 10k recently and he said the results were printed in alphabetical order, as to not belittle those who finished near the back of the race.

I think they'd know they finished near the back, when they saw EVERYBODY ELSE run past them and nobody behind them.

To be fair... Makes sense to do it that way if there's a **** ton of people running. Great north run and the like. Sooner find myself by name than by an approximation of where I finished.

If it's actually for the reason they gave then they're ****s.

I remember playing Boro at Roker Park back in the day, when a car load of Boro fans drove past the Fort on Roker Avenue heading down Church Street, and one of them sitting spat out of the back window at passers by. Everyone in the vicinity knew that the car would get stuck in traffic down the road and loads charged after the car and caught up to it outside of what is now Jackson's and overturned the car and left it upside down on the path.. I bet the driver was over the moon with his mate..
