Lovely finish by Eriksen. Hopefully that'll open their defense up a bit.

"Shielding the ball" while you're about six feet away from it. Ok, then.
    Hate that.

Janssen with another opportunity. Needs one for his confidence, really.

Pochettino needs to make this clear tonight :

If you cannot play tidily and with incision against Gillingham,
you don't deserve to be on the team sheet for PL/CL games.

Unlucky not to get a penalty, then cleared off the line. Just not quite there.
    Then just wide. Balls.

Onomah in the book for a high foot. That's pretty much our first foul and he puts nothing into it.
Bit harsh, but he'll need to be careful now.

Sticking with the theme of tonight's match, Ryan Mason's scored his first goal for Hull.
1-1 with Stoke at the Britannia.

Winks, Tommy and Onomah schooling Lamela in how not to faff while on the ball.

Tonight shows us why the Sunderlands etc park the bus.
The slightest bit of open space and Spurs will go thru you.

So the onus is on Spurs to pass forward/faster to prevent the bus
being formed in the first place in PL/CL games.

1-0 HT. Comfortable, controlled and all one way, but the scoreline's still close.
Too much pretty stuff in front of them and not enough cutting edge, unfortunately.
They haven't produced anything of note, bar a long throw, but we need to kill it off as soon as possible.

Well, what I managed to see of that first half looked pretty decent. Some decent passing and slick movement. Unlucky not to be further ahead. Outstanding goal from Eriksen, who is the one player on the pitch that shouldn't be given that much space and time to shoot!

If anyone gets finds another stream that works on iOS, I'd appreciate it. I've spent the last 15 mins closing down ****ing bet365 ads.

Okay first half. Needn't have been worried about defence and midfield on what we've seen so far, Gillingham not really giving us any problems and Carroll and Winks are knocking it around nicely. Great strike from Eriksen but in general our finishing is letting us down. Janssen's performance so far is best described as "Soldado", he really should have put that header away.

I would say he's shown more craft and desire to impact the game than Nobby, and is blessed with the kind of physique that just might have seen the Spaniard's time with us turn our somewhat differently. Strong as an ox on steroids he is.

Soldado was pretty good on the build up play too. If he actually scored a few goals from time to time he would have merited his place in the team imo.

Not writing Janssen off but it is a bit worrying, he's had quite a few good chances now. Maybe it's just because I'm still furious he wasted that chance against Sunderland :D

Sandro puts QPR 1-0 up against Sunderland. Good to see him playing, again.
