Is there anywhere to listen to or watch the game for us non Hampshire based Saints fans who couldn't be arsed (me)/have a good excuse not to go to the game?
Absolutely no reason why we shouldn't win this game (we were 5th in the Premiership last season for goodness sake) but then we don't seem to play well in the cup so we'll probably lose ...... or not looking good, Palace have beaten us the last couple of cup games but then how many bogey teams have we beaten in the last couple of years and were hitting form so we'll probably win! This is why I'm so good at the prediction game! ( I wouldn't play youngsters - if they're not good enough for the league they're not good enough for the cup) COYR!!!!!!!!
(Hesketh and Reed are 20 and 21 - Bale, Rooney, Messi, Walcot etc were starting at 16/17 years old - I think we will just have to wait until a new superstar is born - our youngsters just aren't youngsters at the moment)
Expecting to see Hesketh tonight, probably from the bench. Unless he's injured I fail to see why else he wouldnt have been involved against Leicester U23's the other day.
Looking at it now I wouldn't mind seeing Stephens come on as CDM at some point, especially if we're winning. Be good to give him some time on the pitch and also show a possible option considering our lack of physically imposing defensive mids behind Romeu. Surprised Hojbjerg isn't starting, maybe he's going to be at the weekend.
Not going to be easy but I like that line-up and good to see Claude is willing to start youth in cup games.
