He had not spent much in his home land to win the league and champion league. Until he do that somewhere else
people are going to be calling him cheque book manager.

So Tobes...what's your thoughts...the titles say he has it in him even if it's using the world's better players when his club can buy them.

Do you think it's all the players fault at United not doing as told or misunderstanding him? Early days of course but he had the money clearly to bring pretty much who he wanted in so why does his team look so make shift?

And why is he publicly criticising young players if it's just the start of things...

He's lost his air of invincibility.

Last season was a car crash and the worst in his career. He didn't do losing at home for one, last season broke that.

That doesn't mean he's finished and for me United looked very good in the first few games this year, but they're obviously still a bit fragile, as last week proved.

He's got work to do there, but I still think he'll get it right.

Everyone is acting as if the league is Citeh's already, there's a long way to go yet, and plenty of twists and turns to come this season.

Give me the money to manage West Ham, I will buy the world best players at any price that other clubs cannot match. Then , I am
going to win the league for West Ham.

I really don't buy into the Mourinho myth, sorry mate.
Before we go any further, I'll make it clear that I'm not saying he's ****e - just that he's never done enough to deserve the legendary status some afford him (not least himself).
Apart from an initial impact in Portugal he's had everything laid on a plate for him. This doesn't mean he was bad, but it does mean he was relatively untested. Until last year - where he failed miserably when things went tits up.
He is still to prove his worth when under pressure in a difficult situation so the next few months should be interesting.

Nope, if we beat Hull it's ours, especially if City have a potential car crash October

    I like Klopp tbh...

Working with only a few additions to the squad he had when he arrived playing much better now no need for big name ego additions etc ...

The only questionable for me is Milner/Moreno situation but I'm not on my own there?

Big on work ethic and not the ego I thought he was tbh.......Pretty much the opposite to Maureen really? I mean you have to be a twat to label yourself the special one right?

Pretty much what I think tbh..

Last year I think he'd have had a melt down if Roman hadn't of pulled the trigger he looked lost and under massive pressure..

I agree. The only question marks for me are with his style and tactics, can they maintain the current level of intensity across the long PL season? and also I think that if a team can play through the high press then the back line is exposed with that system and the current personnel in CM, which means that over the course of the season they'll maybe ship too many goals. You can't play well every week over a 38 game season and there'll be weeks when they have to grind out a 1-0 result, can that side with those tactics do that? I have my doubts.

Guardiola insists he will not pick midfielder Yaya Toure again until his agent apologises for comments about his omission from the CL squad

What are the legal implications here?

Reminds me of me getting banned from the Man Utd board because of a post by Gerrez <whistle>

Anyway why should Yaya be punished for someone else's words. Could he have his contract terminated for constructive dismissal (assuming he can sort out a deal for the same wages somewhere else)?

Guardian has a lot more info than #bbcsalford

    https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...e-manchester-city-for-any-premier-league-club

Yaya Touré is free to join any Premier League club in January, with Manchester City prepared to allow the midfielder to leave for a direct rival.

We're definitely a bit top heavy and that is a concern. Atm there are too many mistakes in that defence and that needs to be sorted.
Apart from the addition of Mane the attack is the same as Klopp inherited and so he's had time to get them to where he wants them, and apart from the odd Burnley that seems pretty good.
The midfield and defence is more of a work in progress this season with all the changes so I'm hoping that when he's had a few months with them then they'll improve and cut out the sloppiness.
Atm we're not unlike City have been for a while now - impressive going forward but vulnerable at the back.

I think Klopp is a good manager in the old school sense - one who is able to work with his players as a team and not just look for the big name signing. And despite his Jolly German media persona he seems to be pretty ruthless behind the scenes.

I do think Koeman just might make your crowd into serious contenders too. :)
