Watched an hour and a half documentary on YouTube about Escobar last night. Murphy and Pena were on it, so was Martinez, as head of Search Block. No mention of Carilla - was he fictional to Narcos? Edit - they're still trying to claim that a) Escobar wasn't shot through the head when he brought down on the rooftop to finish him off, and b) there were no US DEA and special forces involved in the final kill. Escobar got what he deserved, but don't pretend it wasn't an execution.
I watched Stranger Things yesterday after hearing good things about it on here and from friends. Saw the first 2/3 episodes and thought it might be overrated... but it's a slow burner and when it suddenly got going I thought it was brilliant. Very much hooked and gutted it was only 8 episodes. Also a bit concerned how they can keep it going for a 2nd series as many of the questions have been answered. I would've liked if it was going to be a whole new plot, but from what I've read it's going to be more of "the upside down".
LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL on Sky Arts channel at 10.45pm tonight. I cannot recommend highly enough for anyone who hasn't seen this, to watch it. Or Sky Plus it but ****ing watch this film!!

i was made to watch this when i worked in a boiler room, good movie, very intense at times. Gotham season 3 episode 1 is out! Just watched it but will probably leave it now til its midway break cos i hate watching week to week.
Alec Baldwin's finest hour. And he's only in one scene Edit: btw can I have my money back you sunk into timeshares in costa malorca!
He is really good in that scene though and i doubt i took any money off you trebs unless you invested during the dot.com bubble when i made billions off suckers
Great film, and a good cameo from Baldwin too, but the star is Jack Lemon: surely one of the greatest screen actors that ever lived.
Without a doubt. He's such a pathetic character but also draws all the sympathy - brilliantly done by Lemon. It's also worth noting Kevin Spacey was a virtual nobody when he made that film, but was class too. All great performances tbf.
