Yup. They are basically untouchable now. Like Leeds or utd. No sane person would manage them

Koeman throwing away Everton's best chance for a trophy in decades so he can prioritise the fight for 6th place <doh>

right so a serious topic thats not about wumming really... if anyone wants to answer form Utd, or neutrals or LFC..

I just find it interesting that the Jose Mourinho from 12 years ago seemed to be able get players to crawl through broken glass to lick his shoes but now? Well its seems he can't and uses the media as his method of criticism.

    So whats happened?

    a) Was it really that terry, lampard and drogba were just the in crowd and assured of playing so they loved him?

    b) Has he developed bad habits at Real Madrid which is a highly political place where this public critique is part of the furniture?

    C) Is he just older and lost touch with the young players of today? (are they that different 12 years on? is the moeny that much that they no longer fall over themselves to gain favour?

I don't know... but to publicly lash a kid (which is what Shaw is still) seems bizarre when he's only a wet week in the job, not actually under any pressure as manager and ok he lost to guardiola in the derby and spent a shed load but its a long season.

    Why is mourinho doing this?

IMO he's been a Jammy git mate he did do well at Porto and lived off that ever since...

He's club hopped to ready built teams with money to burn to add the big signing as the cherry on top...

It can happen anywhere that a club goes on a bad run and at Chelsea his luck ran out and he simply didn't know how to fix it...The players grow tired of the bullshit and things go from bad to worse...

I'm not convinced by him or Guardiola tbh it's OK going to a ready built team with money to burn but I have never or likely never see any of the managers that seam to club hop the top clubs in Europe build a team from scratch they stay a few seasons then ta ta...

Basically they are the big name that clubs and supporters crave they are no different to smaller clubs managers....well other than Pulis,Pardew and Hughes their just Twerps lol

maybe so. Certainly chelsea were ready made and certinly when at Real he had a tough job there fore 4 years i think but delivered a league title and 2 cups.

His trophy haul has been impressive however but the wheels seem to have come off at chelsea and now he's grinding gears at utd.

In fairness guardiola has seemed to have gotten his wishes across already with his players but mourinho doesn't seem to know his first 11 so i'm not sure if his tactis are coming across.

Senior figures at Manchester United do not anticipate manager Jose Mourinho’s abrasive style causing them problems this season.

Mourinho’s decision to single out Luke Shaw for criticism following Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at Watford shocked the defender and his team-mates. The 53-year-old has also been critical of some refereeing decisions during United’s ongoing three-match losing streak.

But it is understood United staff, who well remember Sir Alex Ferguson's many confrontations during his illustrious 26 years in charge, are relaxed about the situation.

Ferguson ruled by fear but he didn't need the media to explain the tactics to a player.

I think there's a split upstairs at the toilet. A significant amount of senior figures didn't want him and were forced to take him once van gaal failed to get 4th.

not to worry though.. giggs is still available... shock.. no club was mad enough to appoint him to the top job.

Maureen is as venomous as Fergie ever was, he just channels it in a different way, the PR stunt(with photo) of Charlton and Maureen at the training ground having lunch together was just papering over the already existent cracks.
When Moyes(and LVG)were into their 1st few weeks into the job Ferguson was never out of the press telling everyone they were the right choice and how well they'd settled in etc(laugh), can't say I've heard him do the same with the current manager, must be a club clampdown on Fergie's over involvement with his successors.
