Lucas was superb last night starting off our attacks with some great passing, I sometimes wonder what other people see???

Lucas is a solid player, keeps the ball, makes some tackles and commits tactical fouls when needed. Just doesn't have legs to get around pitch anymore

 

Your missing his passing though which is superb and links up to the attackers from deep which gets us on the front foot quickly. Still a great player to have in the squad imo.

I said he keeps the ball. When playing midfield he doesn't really pass forward too much but don't need him to. Just needs to keep it simple get the ball to front 4 who can pick it up and run with it and make things happen

Plus he loves the club. Def keep him as long as he wants to be here.

 

Klopp swore live on telly after the match last night, apparently. He was just about to be interviewed by a sky reporter, when he was told the match wasn't televised. "It wasn't televised? In Germany you get every ****ing game!". He apologised, shrugged his shoulders and grinned. Got to love the feller

It was a classic lucas performance. lots of little fouls and just bullying the derby players.

Yeah I saw the interview in amoungst the others, and the Sky fella was not happy and apologising to the viewers Klopp was just grinning. Tbf it looked like Klopp thought it was between interviews and off air.

 

Again what are you watching? He was pinging balls into the midfield and forwards from deep last night all game. I think it goes unoticed at times because we are then on the attack and people focus on that.

 

I didn't watch the game. Just talking about what I've seen last season or so. Actually think he passes forwards more when in defence as he's used as a ball playing CB where as midfield he passes responsibility to others.

 

I think it's something that goes unnoticed, when he's playing well his forward passing is superb. I'm a Lucas fan of course so maybe notice these things more and yes I know he's not going to start every game but I think he's undervalued. At only 29 I think he still has a role to play with us for a while yet as long as he's happy with a reduced role and I think he is.
