Yes, There version of Adebola and Mckenna. I expect Chester to have Phillips in his pocket. Kp is way to slow.

He's miles better than Adebola. Phillips will still be a pest, i expect a bit like Deano was in his last few years. Should be a good battle between him and Chester and one i reckon Chester will win.

I reckon you're about right with what you say about Ferguson. He was always pretty average but he's a gobby, in your face type midfielder that'll get stuck in- like Ash was.

This sounds like classic reverse psychology from Holloway. I cant see Barry Ferguson going there for no money or Phillips for that matter. To suggest these two are their version of Adebola and Mckenna is stupid in the extreme.

Oh yes. Ade has more strength but i agree with your Deano assessment. Give KP a chance and he will score.

i just feel that Citys youth will tire Blackpool out over the 90mins. The problems the Tangerines appear to have could be desplayed in the open. I H press conferrence on SSN yesterday showed he was under pressure from his squad.

Enlighten me how Mckenna is better than Ferguson or Dele is better than KP. You constantly make idiotic sweeping statements.

But they're right, they are our version of McKenna and Dele.

McKenna and Ferguson are both defensive midfields who lead the team and are decent but past their best.

Phillips and Adebola are both aging strikers who are still effective and give both teams something they didn't have before.

Very similar signings. McKenna and Ferguson very similar in quality. Phillips probably a better player than Dele at this point but not a better player than Matty Fryatt so not someone we needed.

What absolute sh1te you talk. Compare Mckenna's record to Fergusons. Not even close, nowhere near similar in quality. Mckenna has never even played in the Premiership. So Phillips isnt better than Fryatt so not someone we needed. What idiotic logic. Therefore we didnt need Adebola then!! Of course we would have liked Phillips, he is still better than our other 3 strikers, 254 goals in 561 games. What is he a luxury player or something to you??

SPOT ON THEO. You took the words out of my mouth. Chazz is clueless idiot who really does not understand theb game. The part of KP that is better than Dele is his goal scoring. The fact that Chazz cannot see that sums him up.
His statements to this fact are laughable.

Adebola isn't the same sort of player as Phillips and Fryatt. Not a bit of it. Phillips wouldn't get a regular game for us. he hasn't played a load of football so it's difficult to say whether we'd be better off with him than Simmo and McLean. With his wages, I'd say no.

Barry Ferguson isn't much better than McKenna, if at all. He's had one decent season in the PL in the whole of his career. Pretty sure Paul McKenna could have anchored Celtic or Rangers midfield all these years. McKenna for free or Ferguson for £750k is a no brainer.

The article say Blackpool are not paying big wages, so how do you reckon you know what KP is on? As we paid 1.2 million for Mclean KP would have been cheaper. Mckenna could hardly get in at Forest last season so dont be ridiculous. After a long career he is where he should be a CCC player stop trying to justify.

Justify what? I never said McKenna should've been a PL player. i said he could quite comfortably play at the top of the SPL and he could have.

Phillips has been a quality player and was playing in the PL last year. He's not gone there for peanuts.

At first you were pretty sure Mckenna could have played now its comfortably played at the top of the SPL!! How do you know after4 preseason friendlies?? After a long career you are where you are and Mckenna is a CM CCC scuffler nothing more.
Again the article is about Blackpool not paying wages yet you KNOW KP is going there on a big wage??

Surely thats another negative towards McKenna then? However, i agree I am happy with the prospect of McKenna running our midfield, he knows this division inside out.

As for Phillips, I'm pretty sure he will be on high wages, Blackpool isn't the greatest of attractions for a footballer.

Why ? KP is slow. Chester will have him in his pocket tonight. KP will do well to get 15 goals this season. The loss of
Adam will hurt them hard. Actually i fear Taylor-Fletcher more than Phillips. Good that DJ Campbell has left in time.
