Moyes never took league cup serious imo. Wanted an fa cup but never a league cup.never won either.

Grujic hasn't impressed like I thought he would.

Grujic has things to learn. Can has been what klopp has said... shortcomings fitness compared to our fully fit players

 

Never thought of it before, but would explain why Arsenal do well in FA Cup. They're always out of CL when it kicks off

 

Grujic is saving it for the big games. Didn't want to go full on against Derby or he won't be a surprise when he next plays in the PL. Instead be understated so they don't think he's a threat then come out all guns blazing.

We'll if they get through 3rd round yeah.. they finish 2nd in group get a glamour round ofor 16 tie then losend. Clear run at fa cup then.

Give the lad time, he showed a little bit of passing quality and ran about reasonably well in the 3 man midfield. He needs time to develop.

 

Thanks for the link, Sky. Saw the second half (had 'issues' with Virgin in the 1st). Job done. Good: Origi, Grujic, the 2 cb's and the goalie (sort of), bad: Firmino's finishing, Moreno's composure in the final third, the goalie on crosses (is he any better than Migs? At least he comes off his line, I suppose), and Can's rustiness - though he has to start somewhere.

Well done lads. Could have been tricky - wasn't.

 

Can was very rusty, it'll take him time to get some form back.

Lucas did well again, some excellent passing starting attacks.

Moreno has a good game, nice to see.

Klavan also very good.

A good run out giving some players some match fitness.

I agree. Gave the ball away a few times, but plays with head up, is balanced when he receives the ball and strokes it around. Looks like a young Faberegas to me, if that isn't jinxing him!
