The Football Association said clubs could receive advice from expert members of its panel, but added the governing body had not directly advised the club.

"This cardiac screen was not conducted as part of the FA's cardiac screening programme. Therefore the FA had no involvement in the player's referral, the screening process or the communication of the results with the club," it said.

"On occasion, clubs may seek independent advice on a player's cardiac health from an expert cardiologist who sits on the FA Consensus Panel, which is an expert body in this area."

Hope the player's ok and this doesn't have a detrimental effect on his career. <ok>

"However, the Dutchman has now had further tests and been given the all-clear to play once again."

    That`s the important bit. <ok>

My only concern at this stage is that one of my favourite players at the club, one of the few I feel is good enough and will grow may have an issue.

My only want in this is that he's 100% cleared and there is no ongoing issue.

Hope this gives you ladies who have been slagging the club off over this matter something to think about. Especially when a manager has to make an emergency decision and re-jig his team within minutes of the KO but many of you sound if you would rather his going on and putting an arm around the lad's shoulder.

I wish people would **** off saying that. All Moyes had to do was be straight with the interviewer after the match but he wasn't and he created the debate pretty much singlehandedly.

Are we supposed to never say anything in case it turns out not to be true? A blind man could have seen there appeared to be something odd going on.

Lastly, it's been explained now and we're all relieved PVA is fine so there's no need to be making snidey little jabs at people for trusting their own judgement.

He certainly says some strange things, or at least says them in a strange way, when he's front of the press. He comes across as an odd character to me. It does make me wonder how he is in his dealings with the players. Did he come across this weird when he was at Everton and Man Utd?

I'll stick my neck out as 'one of the ladies'.

I wasn't slagging the club off. I was calling Moyes.

Regardless of this new revelation, I still think he handled it poorly by not telling PVA personally, and by his strange interview afterwards.

The information we received was not for public broadcasting by a third party over a TV interview.

Wasn't using snidey jabs at anybody in particular, just observing how digs at the club were not justified, but if you want to dive in with uninformed opinions then carry on.

All part of lessons in life. It was not Moyes' place to announce to the world that PvA could have a temporary medical problem.

I don't think so, I always thought he was a quiet but dour bloke but he always seemed sound to me. He seems a bit off key at the moment though like you say, with some managers there's a cunning ulterior motive behind what they say but I'm not getting that impression from Moyes.

For example in yesterday's interview about PVA he aggressively eyeballed the guy for asking him to expand on the situation, there was no need for it. There's conservative then there's just bizarre and he's flitting between the two.

With all due respect, Nos, it sounds to me like you've got the wrong end of the stick over what people are criticising. Its Moyes' strange interview persona rather than anything he or the club have done.

Yes I'll continue to make my own mind up about a situation based on what I've seen and heard and comment on it, and if I'm wrong then so be it, it's only a forum I'm commenting on.

And if some superior types want to sneer at me for doing so, well that's up to them too.

    Totally agree..<ok>

I suppose there has been a few that loved him and hated him since he has been with us but for me he sort of makes things happen, crops up in the right place at the right time and has some shot on him..

We would have certainly have been a different beast if both he and Borini had been on the park last Sunday, either would have made a massive difference imo..

Would you rather Moyes announced it or the Daily Mail? I'd prefer it if it were Moyes or a club statement, personally.

You have your view, that it was handled well. I have mine and I believe it was handled poorly.

End of the day, the lad's alright, which is by far the main thing here.

As I recall it Moye's replied to a direct question about pulling PvA off and could do other. To me nobody in their right mind would pull a fit player off unless it was half-way serious. What people are refusing to see is the impact of what could have been a more than sensitive situation, regardless of the game. Denayer needed a warm up so get him in soon and at the same time tell PvA. So given how Moye's handled it before and afterwards is clear now so if people had waited it may have helped.

The hows, whys or wherefore's are irrelevant given the information.

Have you actually seen his interview after the game? - he fuelled the conspiracy theories.

Yes. He was asked about the hows and whys about taking PvA off at such a late stage and Moye's said that it was on medical advice which was just about all he could say.

Yes and then the interviewer asked something like "can you elaborate on that" and Moyes just looked at him as though he knew who had really shot Kennedy
