I regarded it as a taster for things to come, but as yet isn't hasn't worked out, apart from the fans, the desire hasn't been there.
It was a pretty good taster for back to back promotions, and now European football. I see no shortage of desire.
We have a lot of fans with an obsession to win some Silverware, nothing else will satisfy them, League success means nothing to them at all. The Glory Hunters will not accept any excuses.
Nothing substandard about that record breaking day out at Wembley. Wouldn't change a thing. Not obsessed about winning something, but the league placing does seem a bit futile when we keep losing stars like Mane each summer. Mid-table and a nice cup run* would still be progression to me.
They had more reason to. We were completely marooned in 8th on our own. To leave Lovren, Morgan & Jay out (arguably 3 of our best players that season) was absolutely criminal.
Not really. To give yourself the best chance of winning a game you don't leave 3 of your best players out. No hindsight required for that one.
The JPT served a purpose the year we won it. Starting the season on -10 points and with a less than ideal squad for the first few games we were unlikely to get near promotion (although we came pretty close in the end). The JPT helped instil a winning mentality in a club that had been used to failure and losing for too long. In our second League One season we went out of the JPT in the first round and my guess is that probably helped us in the league.
Sure, but this team - SKD, Clyne, Yoshida, Hooiveld, Shaw, Wanyama, JWP, Davis, Do Prado, Lambert. Should have walked that game.
Nothing to be too worried about, just an impact injury, again back at the weekend unless a bad reaction.
Not telling, they know who they are! Actually this site doesn't have many, it's when you stray off to certain other sites that they become apparent. We are lucky to be blessed with mainly level headed posters, not that they don't have opinions, but I would never want to gag anyone with a genuine bee in their bonnet from airing their views.
