Yeah it could be made public if it's a disciplinary issue, but then we'd be done for lying about it. I'm hoping to see him back in the team very soon, if there's one thing we can't afford it's to lose more first teamers.
What ever the reason is it's valid cause the Premier League deemed it acceptable and didn't fine us. So if he didn't pull up in warm up it could be something shown up in his toxicology blood results, like chemical poisoning. For exemple, carbon monoxide poisoning.
But surely if it's a failed drug test he would have been suspended by the Premier League and we'd have known about it surely?
If it was an injury, he would just come out and say so. Something has happened but I don't think we'll ever find out the truth.
Agree completely but it doesn't bother me. Not bothered about finding out. I very much doubt it had any impact on the outcome of the game. Manquillo got torn a new one by bolasie on Monday. Denayer the same on Sunday. Can you imagine if Manquillo had played RB in both games against the two players we played against? The lad would be ready for the loony bin by now!
You don't need to be Einstein to realise what was going on though mate, considering Denayer was suited and booted and wasn't in the original 11. Bit of a shambles for the club either way you toss it up.
According to Sky the Times are saying PVA was withdrawn because of a Serious Illness, they are usually on the money but ,if true, why wasn't this picked up before he got changed. This doesn't clear thigs up in my opinion.
"@sorourkeITV:Van Aanholt mystery: DM: issues from standard cardiology scans. FA panel involved and decided he couldn't play. #SAFC told at 1550 on Sunday. I hope that`s not as bad as it sounds.
Yeh apparently heart scans were not are they should be but why all the clock and dagger having Denyer tel him
People giving Moyes **** for how he handled this... ****ing hell, he might just have stopped a heart attack on the pitch for all we know.
I'll call it how I see it and it looked strange as hell. Have you never made an assumption in your life? If it's a heart problem then I'm glad he didn't play and he's alright.
Agree Nacho, the main thing is the lad is ok. Hope its nothing serious with him and hope he can carry on with his footballing career.
This usually stops a players career. I genuinely hope he's okay, like. I don't know how we are going to get to Christmas without being cut adrift, we were already at stretching point. Don't underestimate the impact this is going to have on our team. ****ed.
He's had the necessary checks now, and is free to travel to QPR. Whether he'll play or not remains to be seen,. Source - BBC this morning.
From BBC Patrick van Aanholt was pulled out of Sunderland's 1-0 defeat at Tottenham because of medical advice from heart specialists, says boss David Moyes. Left-back Van Aanholt, 26, was replaced by Jason Denayer 15 minutes before kick-off, but could play in Wednesday's EFL Cup match at Queens Park Rangers. "He had the statutory checks with the cardiologists," said Moyes. "The Football Association panel advised us really late that he should not play until further tests had taken place." Moyes said the Dutchman had since had those tests and would travel with the squad for Wednesday's match at Loftus Road (19:45 BST). "We are just surprised the FA panel didn't contact me or my doctor until 3.55 on Sunday afternoon," added Moyes. "I have never in my career been put in a situation like that. "It was completely outside our control, but it was in our control because we knew we had to make the correct decision for the player and for the football club."
You are ****ing poison, you horrible ****. I hope nobody speaks to you, because of your attitude towards child sexual abuse. 'It was a good system' 'It never done anybody any harm' My site ban is about to kick in. So just before it does, then once again, **** you!
I steered well away from it until I knew the facts - for exactly this reason - I had a feeling there'd be a legitimate reason for it. I'm not often right so I'm going to get some mileage off this one!!!
Looks like it was more precautionary than anything reading what the BBC say though - had the remaining checks and travelling with the squad tomorrow so should be no further problems.
