But other types of murder would just be a jail sentence? I don't get that at all. If you think that murder justifies execution, what's the difference?
The list of people I would reinstitute it for is absolutely endless - which explians why i should never really be a politician.
I'm not suggesting that some murders are ok... but should people like that bloke farmer chap who got sent down for shooting some burglars shouldnt be executed... women who have the **** beaten out of them by their husbands for years that snap an kill them shouldnt be executed..
I think you're more talking self-defence/manslaughter than murder there but it's a fine line to draw between them and murder. Particularly when lives are at stake.
I think the death penalty should be reintroduced but only in the sickest, most depraved cases. Some people are too evil to be allowed to live, even in prison.
I do have an element of empathy with that comment actually. However, the problem with that is deciding how sick or depraved someone has to be before deciding whether or not they should be executed. It's a very, very fine line and not one that could just be decided by the level of public outrage. If you think we have trial by media now just imagine what it would be like under the system you propose!!!!!!
i heard majority of people want the death penalty back in britain, but its 1 thing MPs would never 'allow' to return. Making a mockery of this supposedly being a democracy
