    Highlights have just been on BT Sport. Slightly before my time. Who was that ginger lad who gave the ball away, then got skinned, for the Norwich goal?

    Yeah it showed that. Was the Dave Watson playing in that the same one that played for us in 1973?

    No...it was Watson who played for Everton, Think our Dave Watson had retired by then

    Played great throughout the cup run I went to nearly every match, we beat Watford, Spurs, and Chelsea away, we beat Norwich 1 week before the final at Carrow road I went to wembley with confidence, the supporters were sensational the noise was the greatest I have ever heard, certain we would win and that team frigging never turned up, that sums our history up, and as I have said before 3 months later there was live aid there and wish I went to that concert instead.

    How did that side compare to the one of the Quinn/Phillips era?

    No comparison, both teams were relegated at the end of that season.
    The Quinn/Phillips/Reid era was by far the best that I have had the pleasure to witness.

    The biggest crowd i have ever been in. Around 100,000 there if my memory is correct.

    Pre-war? :)

    Post war definitely quinn and phillips - just wish Quinn didn;t come across as someone who doesn;t like the club anymore!
