Given the improvements some players have made under Klopp would be amazed (assuming the lad stays fit) if Gomez doesn't kick on.. he could be a beast of a CB!

Despite MITO's very good point that Klopp wont change much I have the feeling he will make some changes for this game.

Most of that 5 will be/have been 1st teamers though..
Karius, Moreno, Can and maybe Firmino is my "guess"

He'll get time when we sell him in January.

Its a conundrum.. Klopp by all accounts likes Ings, his attitude, his professionalism, etc..
But given the current formation, players like Sturridge and Origi and certain of a place and they're ahead of him in the pecking order.
Would like to see Ings given game time to prove what he can/can't do, if he'll fit into our team, etc..
On the other hand, he could end up be a Joe Allen'esque cult hero, don't get me wrong, I liked wee Joe but was he ever going to help us bridge the gap...
Same with Ings, is he of the quality that will get us there and keep us there?
If Klopp thinks so, fair enough, if not, then I can see us selling him (or at the least Loan him) to a PL team that is struggling come January.

Ings for me would play LW starting off IMO.. not like how rodgers tried to pin him out there.

Lets look at how mane is playing for LFC. he's played all of 5 mins at Rw thus far by the look of things.

for me however... yes giving lads games is one thing but winning the game first if the most important thing.

I could see some preplanned subs here and up to 3 inclusions.

Moreno and karius make perfect sense. After that Getting can back in is important to us so that would be one sub i think (on or off) and then ings could be another to come in.

However Luv is right.. i read klopp's prematch conference comment and he didn't say what he said about the 2nd round. There he was clear it was going to be strong team. here he has said all teams are strong which may suggest something is coming.

I like Ings but if we got an offer of around £20m, I'd be more than tempted.

With the injury he's had he's a bit of a forgotten man, I don't think he'll get the opportunity to play so will not be able to show that he's worth £20M I think we have to look at a much lower price.

Can't remember where I read but I'm sure we rejected £20m for him in the summer ...?

Think I remember seeing something similar, possibly West Ham when they were whoring themselves out to any striker available, but don't think £20m was a realistic fee quoted. Prob half that

Mama and Ings for 40m and we get in Pulisic and Dahoud, I'd take that!
Plus Gomez is Klopps next masterpiece!
    Win Win!

I would BITE YOUR ARM OFF.

The lad is likeable.. but IMO he is an english borini. He's 24, got a busted knee and frankly before it he missed the target... a lot..

    mentality .. check
    work rate... check.
    ability ?
goal scoring rate compared to alternatives... hmmm...

Milners done ok but still don't think he can play there for a whole season. He's not the quickest so when he comes up against top quality winger he could be in trouble. Thought Chelsea might get hazard onto that side to target him rather than keep running at Clyne.

We'd all like a specialist LB.. but until Klopp identifies one that he wants and assuming we can get him, then it'll be Milner until then, unless Moreno has a positional epiphany and turns into our LB version of Clyne!

Milners wants first team football. He is playing it. He has long forgotten about CM field. He has done well so far<applause>.
