I understand what you've written, but think your comparison is not an entirely valid one. As you'll find out, should you be able to maintain anything like last year's lofty position, the competetition at the top of the premier league is the fiercest in world football.

As far as Spurs go, we have now pretty much established ourselves as a top 6 side. Something that we've achieved constantly over the last seven seasons. So, that's been our progress. Yes, we'd like to take that extra step up. But, realistically, competing with the financial firepower of £ity, Chelsea, Utd. Even Arsenal, should they ever choose to spend, it's not currently possible.

Your challenge, having won the PL, is to now try to establish yourselves as a top side. As I say, it ain't easy!....

Lol, you and Co Co better hope and pray that we don't progress further than you Spuds in the CL because if we do you two will get ripped to shreds pal .
I'm quite surprised you have associated yourself with with Hiag's drivel Spursy , to be honest ? I credited you with more intelligence than that !
Though your loyalty to your fellow Spud is commendable I suppose.

You called us Spuds as well huh?

    You see what I mean?

Hiag is everyone's avenue to attacking the Mighty Tottenham Hotspur. I'm always going to have his back.

I'd be more worried if I had Skiddy on side personally.

You've more or less agreed with most of what I have written ... and I think that is fair. As you say, staying up there isn't easy ... but our immediate mission is to stay in the top 8, challenging for the best place we can get within that ... if I look outside the 7 teams I've mentioned I can't see anybody else currently better placed than us to do that .... our top players are on 6 figure salaries these days; we are likely to soon expand a stadium that we already own; and we have the 'fastest growing' club brand in the EPL (note 'growing') ... we couldn't be better placed to acheive such an objective ... but the talking still needs to be done on the pitch admittedly <ok>

HIAG is little more than recurring internet thrush ... mildly irritating but easily and often supressed with simple, non-prescription, literative medication ... this thread is a classic example .... Jan 2016 "it's all going to go horribly wrong, you'll see" ... fast forward to May and Leicester City are Champions "it's still going to go horribly wrong, you'll see" ... fast forward to September 2016 and Leicester City achieve the best win ever by a Champion's League debutant side "but it's still all going to go horribly wrong. youll see" <wah> ... personally I love his bleating ... who knows where it might eventually take us ... <laugh>

Come off it Spursy , Hiag is his own worst enemy by constantly wumming all and sundry !
Deep down, I'd always had a soft spot and followed Spurs ( in the days of Jennings, Gilzean, Coates, Peters,Chivers and co ) until I realised that better football was being played by my home town club !
And here we are some 45 years later, with nothing having changed ! <laugh>
