I think Kustard has gotten what is colloquially known as, 'the right hump' and has probably buggered off to ja606.

I think they're more on his level there too!...

I've not seen her comments but even if a load of people have the right to work they aren't going to instantly walk into a job. There's admin to take care of, language barriers to overcome, the time it takes to go through an interview process and a whole manner of other things. It doesn't happen in two seconds just because it's made legal.

Plenty of refugee camps are run by the UN, NGOs or Red Cross. That seems to work well.

I'm glad May will not allow economic migrants into the UK. Lots of people from Africa and Asia will try it on if the loony lefties were in charge.

At best it's a stopgap. People can't live in camps forever. Meanwhile we have an ageing population and declining workforce, not to mention a lack of indigenous people willing to do low-paid work. Thanks baby boomers.

You do realise a few facts don't you?
    A) every country has a legal right to accept refugees.
    B) the 'millions' of Syrian refugees have gone to the countries surrounding Syria. There are only some 20-30 thousand in the Calais camps.
    C) Germany have not only taken refugees into the country, they have given them legal status which will allow them to work - so they would count towards employment stats. They have also done this because they have a huge crisis in regards to the lack of working age people in the country.
As a side note I find it amazing that you claim to know that every single refugee/asylum seeker in Germany doesn't want to work!
    D) there's a difference between economic migrants and refugees (such as the refugees that have risked their lives travelling across a war torn country then sailing - some in dinghies - across hundred of miles of seas, before walking thousands of miles - suffering attacks and racial abuse along the way)
    E) we have a dire need for more working age people to pay for the pensions and cost of aging baby boomers.
