Off Topic What offends you the most?

I can give you an example of what I saw as the reverse of this.

A while ago Sherlock actor, Benedict Cumberbatch, used the expression, 'coloured people' in an interview where he was urging that more roles and opportunities should be created for colored people.

The PC Brigade came down on him like a ton of bricks. They say he should have said Black not colored as colored is racist.

The oldest, most respected Civil Rights Organisation in The USA is the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

So, what's most important.

To the PC Brigade it seems the word, rather than the intent is what matters.

I'm with the NAACP and his open support of the issue.

It's many years since I did physics, but I believe that, technically, the answer is NO.

Sir Isaac Newton using a prism showed by breaking down white light into the colours of the spectrum, that white (light) is a combination of all the visible colours.

HOWEVER

Pigment is a different thing I believe, though I know nowt about that.

 

Well white people aren't actually white as in brilliant white paint.
Because if you get it on your hands or arms you will see it.
Conversely, black people aren't actually black, as tyres are.
They are different shades of brown.
Get yourself a Dulux paint chart mate, that'll keep you right.

 

I'm a 30+ years professional photographer mate, everything we work around is greyscale for perfect colour..

The two colours that make that greyscale are black and white..

David Bailey used to call white the most wonderful colour in the world, for me it is my starting point..
