Voted Man City, Aguero will thrive in the PL and the more their team gels the better they will get.

I know they may get distracted by the CL but I think they'll win the PL.

I think liverpool will be a real threat this year. Good forwards, midfield looks ok although he'll have a job deciding who to play and the defence doesn't look as bad as a lot of people think. Their record against the supposed top teams has also been quite good in recent years so if they hit a bit of consistency they will be up there. I take no pleasure in saying it as I bloody can't stand them but I do think they have a good chance this year.

This year will be Liverpool's year.

Now where have I heard that before?

Last year. And the year before that. And the one prior to that. And 2007. 2006 etc...

If you want to win a major, you have to challenge for one first.

Will have a better season than last but will still fall some way short of the title in my opinion. <ok>

I think its more open than last year, United have lost VDS, Scholes, Neville and for the most part Gaggs. Although they have replaced them, they are not of the same calibre yet or ever? Chelsea have not spent significantly so far and that leaves City who are getting closer & closer. Arsenal depending on whether they can keep Fab & Nasri will be thereabouts and even Liverpool will be hunting the pack this year.

    Anybody's title<ok>

VDS was quality but De Gea looks like a very good 'keeper also who has a big future. Scholes simply can't be replaced like for like but was only used sparingly towards the end and Sneijder will be a quality addition if he comes that will be a top creative force in midfield, and Young has been a top player in the Prem for a few years now. As for Gary Neville,he was ready for the knackers yard a long time ago!!! <ok>

If Man City start well then they could piss all over the rest, if they're 2nd/3rd in Jan then the money they have will be splashed on as many players as they need. Not what I want to see in the game but money talks and few other clubs can live with their spending power. :( Only thing for me is they need another decent centre back, Kompany was outstanding last season with De Jong the unsung hero of the team but apart from that the focus was on attack.

If Utd lose Hernandez/Rooney for any length of time AND let Berbatov go then they look a little short up front

If I could get anywhere near the £18 million that was being quoted the other day for Berbatov at his age with one year left on his contract I'd snap their hand off!!! <ok>

As a fan of course i'll go for United, but even if i wasn't i'd probably look this way anyways, i think that on an individual level some other teams have some better players in certain positions, however the way the team functions and the squad can fill in for injuries etc, and of course the defence is in my view the best in the leauge and one of the best in Europe. The main point i'd make is that if anyone player is injured there is a player who can come in and fill their boots, sure the midfield could use a tweak but its solid!

    I'll obviously stick with Utd.

For me it comes down to who steps in when the inevitable injuries occur and how the team functions when that happens.
Utd may not have the best XI but they always put in a performance regardless of who is on the teamsheet.

It might still be one season too soon for Man City, although if they click quickly they could run away with it but I'm not convinced Mancini can gel their squad into a title-winning team.
Chelsea and Arsenal haven't addressed their problems with squad depth and metal toughness respectively.
Liverpool are stronger than they were but not strong enough to mount a title challenge and neither are Tottenham.
