Rinus Michels managed both & Cruyff played for both so there's no real difference between the football they played.

The point is you are bringing teams from the 70s up when I clearly said no current teams play like them. You have failed to mention any teams that play identically to Guardiola's sides, that's because there aren't any.

This is what you actually said...

His tactics are so far ahead of anyone in world football at the moment its unreal

All I am doing is pointing out that they are not ahead but actually behind. A bit like Leicester as I mentioned in a previous post.

If you play a game teams are not used to in the rest of their league games, it will throw them.

They are far ahead of anyone in world football, its why he's dominated every league he's managed in thus far. Leicester did well last season and the 442 worked effectively for them but it only worked well because all the pieces of the jigsaw fell into place for them, take one of the crucial pieces out (Kante) and the whole assembly doesn't work properly anymore. The beauty of Guardiola is his tactics don't rely on player A or B being available, we saw at your place how he had his team carving your defence as they pleased despite the absence of Sergio Aguero.

Yep, many would have found it hard to win things with Barca and Bayern <ok>

Same could be said about Porto winning the league... or Madrid winning the league... or Inter winning the league.. but you lot still think Mourinho is the best thing since sliced bread <whistle>

Funny how Man Utd fans have started trying to pick holes in Guardiola's record since they've had Mourinho in the same way they did to Messi because of Ronaldo.

If you look back a few years you will find my view of Pep has never changed, I can't speak for others though <ok>

(I didn't want Mourinho either as I have said many times on this/these boards).

<ok> I remember you didn't want Mourinho. I can see why as when the results dry up there is nothing there from his football. At least with more attack minded managers you at least get the thrill of exciting football, with Mourinho the games he is involved in are usually dour, stop start and tactical affairs win or lose.

Also the way he acts isn't really befitting of a big club like Man Utd, its why he was ultimately hounded out of Real Madrid.

Wouldn't argue with most of that, I do think he is trying too hard to curb his behaviour though and it is having a negative effect on his management. The former Jose wouldn't have thought twice about shunting Rooney to the bench/stiffs.
