Does AP and his local consortium have the financial clout to take us to the next level though? At least the Chinese have the money...
This would be my concern. I'd have AP in an executive capacity, but not as an owner unless he's backed by some very rich people. The Premier League is at a stage where you need rich owners. Look at the owners of Watford, Bournemouth, WBA etc, all of them backed by wealthy people.
He never had the money to buy us, he was a chief exec, a very good one and it looks like he might be one again.
I wouldn't be surprised if he took up the role but he is definitely going to be a part owner as well.
Which halfwit was it on here that said they'd never attend a match if AP came back to the boardroom? Could be some Google fun to be had there.
He took us up the leagues and we peaked at 18th in the championship (i think) He also brought us a £1 million pound player in Dean Marney although that was made up in add ons...... I think he was the financial exec for the white ****e before us i believe he baled the start of the season when they imploded. I think if he had a share of the club it would be another wedge of money borrowed against the club though, not sure it would be he best step forward
