Don't care don't like him. Nasty piece of work. Never more embarrassed to be a QPR supporter sitting near to the dugouts at the Emirates and hearing the stream of swearing in the fourth official's face for 95 minutes. I've no problem with swearing, but it was the genuine vileness of intent that shocked me, the hatred and fear in his piggy little eyes. But I disliked him long before he came to QPR, a manager who urges his players the break the legs of opponents. Nothing to respect. On a par with Barton, and I know loads on here love that little twat too. No problem, lots of room for differences of opinion.

Anyway, he could be working now but isn't because he doesn't want to, forget about him.

I guess we differ here sb because I would want a manager shouting with passion than a plum who does nothing but sits in the dugout looking lost when things go wrong.

Klopp and Conte do passion. Colin does spite and blame avoidance. Big difference. I don't care if a manager sits there or appears to be on the verge of a coronary if they are successful. Like there is a difference between the 'passion' demonstrated by Mackie or Barton and the leadership shown by Bobby Moore.

Just like the vast majority on here I get fed up with the constant stream of negativity from people who believe they can analyse mistakes better than the rest of us but rarely offer solutions which are realistic to the QPR of 2016 What's your problem? I agreed with the Warnock suggestion as I have always felt getting rid of him the first time was a huge mistake. The only issue I have with it, well two actually are:

1 His age - it's a short term fix. he might want to go on for ever but he simply can't'.
2 Do you really want to inflict being shat on by the club when the next flavour of the month comes along 3 times on him?

You may not like what I post as evidenced by your irritated snide comment but that is no reason to shut me down or try to provoke me as you seem to try to do with all who disagree with you.

This has been an interesting thread.
I am curious to know whether readers would prefer to see pass and move football or hit and hope? I ask as Tony Pulis was and has been seen at Loftus Road although it wasn't for a managers interview......we will have to wait and see. If TP did get offered a job, would we as fans only want him to have 10 months maybe a year to turn things around - this appears to be the average time at present managers?
Pulis though does have better man management skills and motivation skills than most
I listened to radio on Tuesday and the humiliation - and I can remember listening to when Fulham hit us for 6 not so long ago. I can accept "a bad day at the office" but IF all the team are playing badly is it because of the manager or we have been outclassed by a better team. I was at the Milk Cup Final defeat and to this day only 2 maybe 3 players play anywhere near to their potential.
Having supported this club since I was knee high to a grass hopper, all I know for sure is that if there is an easy way of running the club or a difficult way, we always choose the difficult way. Maybe it is time for a change at the top - maybe it is time to get rid of a few more players and bring in those that want to play for the shirt.

Judging by the mutterings of the crowd at the games I've been to the fans want the ball played forward every time but pass and move on the ground but getting into the box early.

The sideways pass is a curse unto us all.
 
when we had Wilkins in the midfield along with Holloway, the sideway pass always managed to find it another in the same coloured shirt.
During the Euros, the sideways pass was seen as a way of keeping possession and not allowing the opposition opportunities to do something with the ball.

I would prefer to see pass and move but I am also getting fed up with giving someone a contract, let them sort out the previous mess left behind, and then sack them when they have spent the clubs money. And so the cycle starts again

It's a bit of both and any good side will have players who know when to hit the ball long and when to pass it around with purpose. Huddersfield players were to a man comfortable with running at the defender, passing it short (for which team mates moved into space), playing longer through balls for players running into a space and occasionally pumping it up for the players up front. We are now almost entirely reliant on Polter as a target man to bring others into play. Few players run into space and there is an air of predictablility about our play therefore. Occasionally we played the short stuff, 2-4 passes fixed around three players in very close proximity but as nobody outside those three makes himself available or runs into space our passing game ends up going nowhere or even back to Smithies for the punt upfield.

We can be effective playing route 1. It's not pretty but is very predictable and relatively easy to snuff out by the defending team doubling up on the big man. However we have seen enough now to know that Washington cannot be the target man. I've yet to see him be given a longer chance in a 2 man strike force. But I think I have seen enough to know we can do better than him.

We were passing it around and moving into space a bit in the first Leeds match. What has happened? Genuine question - I have only seen highlights since then.

I was thinking the same thing, but would include Hughes and Redknapp's tenures as well. We're now in our fifth season of suffering a disjointed team taking the pitch with players out of position and a lack of game plan, no pace and side to side slow build up football. There has been the odd exception of course, but they're few and far between.

To be honest with you, Oslo, I can't say that I was that impressed by the performance against Leeds, despite the flattering 3-0 scoreline.

I hope that you don't mean he will be available just after Xmas! Tony still won't admit publicly that he was taken in at that time of the year by the 'ambition' and sell belief of that fool. Like most things that come out of Robbie Savage's mouth his adulation of Hughes is utter garbage. He will never be any more than average as a manager but very good at spending other people's money.

I wasn't "that" impressed either but thought we did well enough and from most of what I've seen and heard we have gone downhill since. But normally the expectation is as more games are played newish teams should improve, as it looks like many others are doing.
