With split debate about whether Monk should go or stay, the question is, do fans agree with Monk. Let's be honest, he's hardly going to say he's doing a crap job, is he. Results to date disagree with Monk, so, what is it, is Monk doing a good job, or has he shown the tea lady how to make a good cuppa char? Thoughts on yes or no. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....oing-a-good-job-says-confident-monk-1-8128907
Monk is doing a good job: he has reinvigorated the club He has changed the backroom team and mentality at TA He has looked at the kids and brought in a 3 new kids for the future. The way the club is run behind the scenes at TA is more professional. Brought in 11 new players but not enough time to bed them in You can see the style of football we are trying to get. You can see the fight is starting to show in the team. Needs more time. What he got wrong: Captain was never Bamba The way he handled Murphy and Dave etc Being too naive with Hay and Pope as they are now trying to **** on him
4) Told everyone he knows how to make a team peak at start of season 5) Didn't want more preseason games 6) Played Mowatt on wing too many times 7) Questionable substitutions and tactics and team selection 1) Reinvigorated the club.. I would have to totally disagree, the buzz and excitement haven't been results, performances or league table. The 'buzz' has come from Cellino throwing a bit of money at new signings, the possibility of a new better owner and being rid go GFH (in my opinion anyway, maybe others will disagree)
He is doing a good job. one or 2 Hic-Ups though, like beating the Wendies, scoring a late equalizer against Foolham, and a late winner against Blacburn, apart from that he is doing well normal service will be resumed today
Spot on as usual Mighty normal service was indeed resumed yesterday mate we won again and wallies stuffed again
Monk is a damn fine manager, and he will be superb for Leeds ... we are lucky to have him, and I would like to see him at ER for at least three seasons ... he has the intelligence and desire to be a top class manager, and he will be, even if Cellino sacks him ... I'd rather he build Leeds into a solid Prem club than go and do it elsewhere Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
He's taken time to get things right. But with virtually a completely new team, it's taken time. Yesterday showed that progress is being made. So time to get behind Monk and see what ca be achieved
For the last dozen years I always cacked my pants for the last 20-minutes when we were ahead. Yesterday I wasn't bothered as I could see a solid defense, with Pontus being a magnet for the ball, plenty of pace at the back plus skill and few nerves. I used to **** myself even under Grayson because he couldnt organise defenders and brought in some shockers. Grayson needed us to score 12 and win 12-11
Agreed. Even at two nil up, I'd usually be wary of it going tits up but yesterday was game over when the second went in and we looked composed like a side a lot higher in the table
FFS it's 8 days since mighty Huddersfield battered us and gave us a football lesson. We have since beaten the bottom two and some of you are handing out three year contracts and medals. Get a grip! Cardiff could and should have been two or three up before we got going. We remain a team good enough for 15th to 19h and no real progress is being made.
Why should they ? they only had 2 shots on target the whole game, have you actually seen any of the match or is this one of your dreams,or did you write this before the match and only just remember to post it.
Have to agree, we didn't look good first half, glad for the back to back wins but they are bottom of the table. Beat Ipswich and then I'll start to believe things could be changing for the better.
Did you sleep through the first half? Or were you too busy on here trying to get into mightys trousers! Cardiff are bottom for a reason and hitting the woodwork when it's easier to score is the sort of thing LL accuse s Wood of. Let's stick to facts. Are Cardiff bottom? Are we 15th? At the current rate of accruing points we would be safe after 44 games, but we have played two of the bottom three so our points per game tally is likely to reduce. #noprogress
Do you mean the shot that the keeper saved, that's his job that was 1 chance did you not then see the 2 chances we should have scored in the same first half.Newcastle were bottom a few weeks back, its still early yet,but like you say facts is facts,so let me offer you some very easy money,I say Huddersfield won't stay top,Barnsley won't finish top 4 and Cardiff wont finish in the bottom 3.Let me know which ones you want to bet on and how much
You failed maths didn't you ? the average pts for 3rd from bottom is 44 our current rate would see us on 55 after 44 games.
I said before season started Huddersfield would be in the playoffs and we would finish 15th or lower. I see no reason to alter my opinions.
