When people who rated Grayson are starting to lose faith in him, how can you expect someone who's never rated him to suddenly see something in him to change his mind? Especially when you've just brought up some negatives about the way he's managed the club and reminded everyone of the stupid mullet he had in the late '90s?
we have not even kicked a ball yet...... Clive you are mr doom....im sure when we win Saturday you will be hiding under the rock u live..... We wont here from u....
What's boring is the non realistic Leeds United fans on these kind of forums. Every player we sign seems to be dissected before he even starts. Who do the fans think we'll buy, messi. When I started supporting the whites there were no forums or internet and I wish it was still like that. I think he's good enough for this league. I've known O'Dea since he played at U9s with my young lad(I realise you can't compare that to now) he actually played midfield/striker then. But the times I have seen him play I thought he was ok. I'd say he might play as a LB, but we'll see. It's ok having opinions, but half the time people are spouting off for the sake of. FFS the season hasn't even started yet. Marching on together my arse.
No one rated Connoly before he came in & I think he was a rock for us. The only thing I'm miffed about is if we needed a left back then thats who we should have signed. If O'Dea is good enough to challenge O'Brien for a spot then thats all well and good
I really think we all know why Grayson never made it as a player, I mean if his ability to sign a decent left back is anything to go by he mustve been rubbish at left back
http://www.leeds.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=249630 Interesting views from both Ipswich & Celtic fans on the link above
" Does he have any pace; is he a leader and does he get stuck in? (Silverking) His pace is quite good for a centre back, hence why he has been used at left back. Read more: http://www.leeds.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=249630#ixzz1U9EZ4JJU " hahahhahah he has NO pace, thats hillarious !
Doesn't mean that's where he'll play for the majority of the season. Remember McCormack signed on the 24th of August.
Can play left back, centre back, left wing or central midfield, but I think he has mainly played left back in his career. Would be a great signing IMO, great quality and versatile.
Who are you to decide that other people's views are unrealistic. Everyone has a right to express an opinion and if you don't like it, then fair enough respond to it, but ffs get a grip, the transfers have been feck all really and the club appears to be doing very little to make the supporters excited, yet want lots of hard earned cash for the privelage of watching Celtic and Pompey rejects. I have watched O'Dea many times over the years and he is simply not good enough, I reckon my opinion based on evidence is much more up to date than your own yonks ago stuff.
O'Dea has mostly played sub for Celtic and even then rarely got on, when he did he was centre half and a poor one at that. I don't remember seeing him play left back (that doesn't mean he didn't, just I didn't see him). What people should wonder is why Ipswich didn't want him permanently? They have the cash and had the player on loan, the truth is he wasn't up to the quality required and that's why him coming to Leeds is a joke. Edit: Simon, I now realise you may have been referring to another player!
Aye, I realised that it wasn't O'Dea after I posted my reply, still keeping the post as it refers to O'Dea and is relevant.
