I used to be in Boys Brigade as a youngster and we had to do all these displays with heavy, wooden clubs. We had five pairs and to this day they are the 10 most hated clubs as far as I'm concerned.
I was never actually in the Boys Brigade, but I used to play football for them quite often when they needed a class inside left. I was so good, my mate used to tell the Brigade leader that I was going to join that week - it worked every time..... I much preferred the Girl Guides myself................
I didn't want to go Clingo, my father thought I needed the extra discipline and I'm ashamed to say that I deliberately picked a fight to get out of it.
Hiya sparkey. Funnily enough, I played football for the 11th Boys Brigade in Cardiff and we played a friendly against the local girl guides. We lost 6-7!!!!! In fairness, they were awarded 6 penalties and two of them did have the good grace to swap shirts at the end of the game.
I know what you mean Sussex. I was there under similar circumstances, but I didn't have the presence of mind to get myself kicked out.
