We are all great at making split second decisions aren't we? Sometimes it can be a natural reaction too. The main thing is most agree it was harsh for Jake to be sent off. I still think we would have lost but we can never be sure can we. especially if in my Cazorla had been correctly sent off. We have a whole new scenario don't we?

Chazz Do you ever have any positives about us? You also state things that are bollocks. Like the use of the word fact. You simply can't say if that decision would have changed the game. I stress again I don't think we would have got anything from the game but i don't think we would have lost by the margin we did. (OPINION NOT FACT) Yes, I thought Arsenal where a class or two above us. and it looked like a training session for then in parts.

He's done it ever since SB was sacked. He's a bit cross about it I think and is proving a point by acting like the Bruce out people, except the Bruce out people were doing it after 4 years, not 2 months.

Not sure what's up with you these days but this bad impersonation of Mr Hat is getting rather tedious. You used to be one of the best posters on here now its just anti everything anyone posts and having one doing that is bad enough.

Any way if your not happy with our caretaker manager I suggest you direct your anger to the Allams, all the talk of a take over ( which I don't believe anyway ) has got us to where we are. They tried so many big names and for one reason or another couldn't do a deal, should Phelan throw his toys out the pram and walk away we will be right in the ****. Any suggestions as to what the Allams should do now?

We sat back from the outset. They missed a sitter then scored. The game was over. The janitor had no idea what to do. We were being overrun but he didn't change anything. No formation changes no pressing higher up no having a go at them.
The sending off has deflected away from the fact he was ****ing clueless what to do.

You know sommat, past week or so I disagreed with you. I thought Phelan deserved a decent chance after the start to the season we've had.

However, those games, he had nothing to do choose. We only had enough senior players to run out at the start. Yes, they battled hard, we got some decent results. Fighting spirit shone through.

The fighting spirit was largely there yesterday too but now he's got a better goalie, better attacking options, better midfielders, yet he leaves them out.

Makes no sense, it's like he thinks more injuries aside, we don't need those new players. When patently, we do. We needed them yesterday. From the start.

His hand was forced with Jakes wrong sending off, but Dio should have been hooked at least 20 mins earlier.

There should have been at least 3 changes in that team yesterday before we kicked off. At least 2 more were needed well before he did make a change.

Being a manager is about making those difficult decisions and imo, yesterday Phelan bottled them. Every single one of them. Maybe there's a good reason he's not made the No 1 slot previously.

He's had plenty of time to learn his craft, he had the chance to show what he was capable of doing yesterday decision wise and he failed.

I'm not on about the result, we more than likely would have still lost, but we might have scored more, or kept more out.

    Thats 100% down to him.

I won't be upset if new owners bring in a manager who knows how to manage and how to pick his best players, not the ones he thinks he owes something too. There really is no room for sentiment.

No chance. Phelan has improved our overall play and the never say die attitude. We've only posted one bad result since the start of the season and the sending off and the non sending off of Cazorla significantly contributed to the scoreline.

I think we had the majority of the possession for the first 10 minutes, we did not sit back at all.

Regarding Livermores sending off. This falls under the new triple punishment law anyhow. We lost a player (unfairly in my opinion), he'll now serve a ban and we conceded a penalty but for a brilliant save by Jak.

It should under these new rules have been a yellow and a penalty. Interesting post that Leon shared regarding the performance of Roger East last week at Leeds v Hudds and this week for us. Refs have a difficult job, and they are easy to be the focal point of criticism. In the case of East this criticism is fully justified - he was terrible on Saturday and he killed the game when he sent off Livermore.

I do agree with Chaz in that the penalty and sending off gave us an excuse for that first half. We were second best all over the pitch but it's hard to match an Arsenal team that look up for it.

I disagree, we where not ****e but it was same old same old. They dive all over the place and the referee gives them a free kick. We need a ref with some balls that starts dishing out the yellow cards. East must be the ****ing worsed referee I have seen at the KCOM. The tv replays show quite plainly that it wasn't a goal scoring opportunity as Jac was directly behind Livermore and should of saved it. It was therefore NOT a sending off under the new rules. It was also in the referees line of sight as he had the same view as the tv replay and I would be seriously embarrassed if my linesman had to tell me I should be giving a penalty for the Cech/Mbokani incident.

Dermot Gallagher on Ref Watch on SSN said Livermore should have only had a yellow card. He then said the penalty should have been retaken as Livermore was still on the pitch.

Though him being off the pitch wouldn't have mattered had the ref got the first part right and issued a yellow rather than a red.
