Well done Watford. Marvelous to see a lower PL side go out and actually attack a weak overrated Man U. Instead of sitting back and back with 11 men behind the ball.
Looking at Stoke's squad they shouldn't be anywhere near the bottom three, I expect them to improve soon.
I see the point you're making but Watford do have better players than us. The likes of Capoue, Deeney and Ighalo (forgive the spelling!) all have the ability to cause Man United problems whereas I don't think we have anyone similar to that ability (unable to compare to new signings as of yet though). However, the likes of Burnley, Boro, Bournemouth, West Ham and Stoke have been made to comfortably look second best against top sides. We could maybe have been more adventurous in the games we played against Man United and Arsenal but it's not something I'll be ready to berate the players for. If we were second best against the likes of West Brom and Bournemouth, then fair enough.
Watford brought in £50m worth of players this summer and they already had a decent team, they're miles ahead of us.
So I can expect us to sit back and defend with 11 men behind the ball against Watford then? This phelan is a breath of fresh air and we are soooooo much more positive and attacking is a load of bollocks then. Good knew that all along.

We didn't sit back, we spent most of the game attacking them, we got sucker punched and then pushed forward even more. Our final ball was (and still is) lacking, that's what is letting us down really, there's only the Utd game where we tried to stifle them and it came within a second of working.
We had 3 shots I think in target. We only went forward after they scored with any purpose. We went for a draw and luckily managed to get one. We had 11 behind the ball for most of the game against Swansea.
Yeah, I saw the stats, but you ignored what I said. The final ball wasn't there, which is why we didn't get many chances on goal, but we didn't sit back and invite Burnley onto us like we did with United, we played in the middle of the park, got forward and then couldn't find Abel. Look at Snodgrass' heat map, he spent most of the game in their half. And we beat Swansea, so in that instance it was a good idea.
