Anyone watching any? Watford just missed a totally open goal. Put it wide when it was probably harder to miss. Mind Watford having the better chances.
Early days but looks like Mourinho isn't the special one after all, he hasn't moved with the times like a few of the top managers in the world have.
It's funny mate, for me he's set the team up right positionally but like Chelsea last season there's a lack of urgency, they look really laboured. I'm not sure about the Rooney thing 'for me Rooney is always a striker', but he's played CM anyway, forcing him to play Fellaini over the excellent and ball using Herrera. He could use Blind who is great on the ball and reads well as a DM, he's played there for Holland and Ajax. It looks so disjointed, nobody has an out ball, no space being created, it's piss poor.
Rashford scored the goal, but this performance is all about Zlatan pulling them out of the ****. He really does look a world class player, even at his age. Phenomenal. When are people going to stop asking what position Rooney should play in, and start asking which players could perform better than he is?
Herrera and Blind for Rooney and Fellaini and that's a much better, more balanced, more creative side.
Pogba has genuine brilliance mate, he's not shown it yet but he will. Big adjustment from a weekly walkover in a one team league.
I was on Chievo first of a 5 fold, I caught some of a Chievo game couple weeks back and they looked really tidy.
My theory is that Mourinho has upset somebody over the international break and the squad harmony is shattered. First half against City we looked pathetic, and I've no doubt he absolutely rattled Lingard and Mkhitaryan for that and possibly had the squad in for extra training. Rooney needs to step up but he's proving to us all that he's not fit to be a captain.
