For those who are interested, this is being shown on Crimewatch tomorrow evening - http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/crime/s...raf_marham_in_bbc_crimewatch_appeal_1_4682825
I just watched Speed with Guy Martin. Who in their right minds could/would build a Transit Van capable of speeds in excess of 170MPH??? He took part in a 60 mile race and the object was to complete the race at an average speed of 150MPH and he arrived 8 seconds too early, due to miscalculating how much the tyres at race temperature!!!
American Horror Story Season 3. I'll admit, their new tiny clip marketing campaign has worked on me for Season 6. Really intriguing. Season 1 was ok, Season 2 was great, 2 episodes remain of Season 3, and I'd say half way between the 1st 2. I only started Season 3 coz I wanna catch up so I can see what Season 6 is about. 3 is decent, I didn't look forward to the premise, thought it sounded crap. It's be slightly better than I expected.
The gf and I watched the first 2 episodes of Stranger Things last night. I was kinda expecting to be a bit let down after all this mad hype, but wow! From the first scene to the final one of episode 2. Gripped and thrilled. I love it, and can't wait to watch another one. It's a lot darker than I expected. Pretty brutal at times either physically or psychologically. Think My missus struggled a bit, she keeps away from Horror type films.
Finished "Stranger Things" yesterday. Outstanding, from the very first minute to the last. I know everyone is saying that, but it's all true. Really, really enjoyed that. 10/10. I think next on our list is "The Night Of" another one getting massive hype. Will see if that lives up to it too.
It's class. Finished the last episode last night...the pilot and final episode are about an hour and a half long, so make sure you set some time aside. Didn't realise it was the guy from Four Lions to begin with.
Zoo Season 2. If you watched the first, and thought it was alright, don't bother. Season 1 was only just passable, Season 2 is a heap. I've been watching an old BBC2 comedy called "Count Arthur Strong". Only found out about it this week. It's actually not too bad, not sure I often like that kind of comedy. A little bit family friendly and tame, but makes me smile. With the gf I've watched the first 4 episodes of "The Night Of" it's really great so far. Very dark and hard to watch at times, but it's meant to be. Thinking of it happening in real life is terrifying.
Zoo is ridiculously stupid, but for me it's so bad it is actually good. Season 2 is even more bonkers but because I don't take it too seriously I find it an enjoyable watch. The Night Of will go down as my favourite show of the year for me. The evolution of Naz in prison was fascinating and all the characters were interesting. I'm currently watching the original Star Trek (1966) series for the first time on Netflix, have to say I'm really liking it so far and for the time it was aired the special effects are actually pretty impressive.
Finally watched "Stag" yesterday. BBC Comedy drama. 3 part mini-Series. Had people like Reece Shearsmith, Tim Key, Jim Howick. Think it aired last year. It was brilliant. 9/10
