    Reporting from South Devon..........

Stanley take the lead in the 52nd minute, through Paddy Lacey.

Well, after 69 minutes play, the only two times that Michael Smith has been mentioned by BBC Sport in their Live Text, is for committing two fouls in the 2nd and 6th minutes !

Time to bring on Noel Hunt possibly ?

Too late for that ! Conor Chaplin has come on for Danny Rose, Kal Naismith for Carl Baker, and now Milan Lalkovic for Gary Roberts.

78 minutes, and Michael Smith's first goal attempt, a header over the bar.

We have had 58% of play so far, and only 4 goal attempts, all off target.

2,461 crowd today - don't know how many from Pompey.

Poor attendance from Accie's point of view though.

Even the local dogs have turned their nose up as this one according to the Solent commentator. This match sounds really turgid. Boy, am I glad I do spend money watching Pompey. Even if I was back in the UK and living in the area I would not watch Pompey until the whole club embraces the 21sr century. I'm afraid there is a considerable gap to bridge before I could ever be enticed back through the gates of Fratton Park!!

Final whistle after 90 minutes + 5 added on minutes, and it's a rather disappointing 1-0 defeat for Pompey.

We have dropped from 2nd to 5th in the table.

He will be the first name on the sheet. Very, very poor afternoon. On this showing, the play-offs beckon at best. I do wonder if Cook knows his best team with the changes that were made. I shall watch this space very carefully but the man I would have in the manager's seat at Fratton Park would be Brian McDermott, the ex-Reading manager because Cook is at best a League 1 manager and Pompey fans deserve better, or do they, if they are happy with this wonderful miracle worker.

I think Accies rarely get above 2000 so it is above average. I think the commentator mentioned about 800. Oh well, if they have decided to make it a weekend in the north west there is still fun to be had. The hills up there on a sunny afternoon are beautiful to walk.

Wish I hadn't bothered. If there was a cat nearby, I'd kick it.

It is safe to say that if Michael Smith went to kick it, he would probably miss..............

Just heard Paul Cook interview and he is hurting. Still mixed feelings about him.

Well we've won 4, drawn 2 and lost 2 - not that bad in the scheme of things. Still got a long way to go yet.

That would be very good in the Championship, not bad in League 1 but is the least to be expected from a club with aspirations to be back in the Championship. If that is to be achieved, Pompey need to start thinking like a Championship club, not like a League 2 team. When Southampton were in League 1 they certainly did not think or act like one, and on returning to the Championship, there was a definitely a PL feel. To get caught up in the thinking of the League that Pompey are in, is defeatist.

True Ides, but Pompey haven't got a multi billionaire family to bankroll us back to the PL.

How did Bristol City get one? There's a latent support there to have regular attendances of 25,000. The Pompey catchment area is much larger than Norwich City's yet they got capacity gates in League 1. I just don't think the club are that proactive. Having said that, I suppose the club is right to be wary of any potential suitors but to my mind the best solution would be to get an investor who would have a 49% stake in the club with the trust and High Net Individuals retaining the rest. China could be a good source as Portsmouth has a range of industries area that the Chinese would be interested in looking at (high tech defence)
