That doesn't seem to be happening. I see no other country in the verge of leaving, either. In fact the mood seems to be towards greater cooperation.

More voices like this guy could result in solution that suits many. Spoiled for choice if you search him on youtube. Some good insights into the failings of the undemocratic, self serving groups running the EU.

Give them a vote and others would vote leave, France being one of them

Yes, well he may be just very slightly biased!....

But, yes, Greece should never have been allowed to join the single currency. They paid, and their 'accounts' were cooked by Goldman's to look like they met the criteria. In reality, they were nowhere close to meeting them.

    Wrong!

Le Pen would leave. The country wouldn't.

It's no secret, the EU have been crystal clear on this throughout.

No single market without free movement, I don't understand why people can't seem to grasp why this fundamental won't be up for negotiation. If they budge on it, it'd undermine the entire EU, therefore they won't.

He was/is strongly in favour of remain. There are some good videos where he details what went on and why, and then details how decisions are made within the EU. The economic argument is more effect than cause, and a focus on that misses a lot of the problem.

The one with Chomski's worth a watch.

Not so sure mate. I think if there was a referendum tomorrow they'd probably vote out, however the French Govt would ignore it and plough on, same as they did in '05

    Not totally
This was from a few weeks ago

More than 60% of French people view the EU unfavourably, according to the latest research by US think tank Pew Research Center.

Over half of French voters also want their own in/out referendum on EU membership, found another survey by the University of Edinburgh.

If there was a EU referendum in France, 33% would vote to leave, 40% would vote to remain and 22% were undecided, the study found.

So not that far way, much like our own polls

French Euroscepticism has been fuelled by the economic troubles of the eurozone crisis and the migrant crisis in Calais and other parts of France.

Being the natural leaders we are, the UK has shown the way forward and I'm sure the total uncertainty and degree of ridicule the UK is facing will inspire the undecided in France to move towards the Leave camp!

We'll be the cautionary tale for a generation across the EU, they'll ensure that during the 'negotiations'

Sat in the other side of the table we'd do the same. The collective will want to ensure that the leaver is seen to be worse off than they were being part of the group, it's merely common sense.

I don't remember the EU invading and shipping us off into slavery like.

    So no, not really.

You're mixing our brief dabble in the African industry globalised by the spanish and italians with colonisation.

Mind you, the example of the French and their colonials after the revolution isn't one to relish a repeat of.

At least our brief involvement ended their long term project...officially at any rate.

Always been a selfish lot on mainland Europe. Good job we'be got the channel to keep them at bay.

Yes, our unelected leader Theresa May will see to that. Oh, wait...
    And Russian money:
    http://www.politico.eu/article/le-p...-front-seeks-russian-cash-for-election-fight/

The irony of all of these nationalist, sovereignty obsessed arseholes being funded by a foreign state appears to pass them by.
    I wonder why?

She's the leader of the democratically elected party. If anything, the undemocratic bit is that she was a remain supporter, but leave voters seem comfortable with that. They're not dripping on incessantly about it.

Which party got elected at the last EU election?

If May doesn't feel that she's unelected, then why did she say that Gordon Brown was when he was in the same position?
Was she lying at the time or is she lying now?
Not the Conservatives. No idea what that's got to do with what I said, though.
Russia's not communist anymore though, is it? The Commies are actually the opposition, for whatever that's worth.
