Just my luck to miss the game as I was at a wedding. Maybe I should become a "Wedding Crasher" if we are going to play this well when I am at a wedding.
great stuff, like i said before we have noting to fear from that chav side and thankfully Klopp has given these lads some real confidence, i wasnt happy that we conceded mainly because while we sat back at 2-0 there was more than a few counters we flopped due to the mentality of holding the 2-0, at that point if we had a more ruthless streak we should have hammered them tbh. good game for us, 2-1 at the bridge is a fantastic result, positive start to the season and we will only get better, we look really fuking good going forward, like im very impressed. klopps the man. boom
Was travelling back from Brussels so missed the match Great result....sounds like the performance was solid. Do wish we could keep a clean sheet but that's not a complaint against a top team. Why did Sturridge come off? Question now is can we break down teams that put 10 men behind the ball and play deep.....while keeping a clean sheet. Sometimes a 1-0 win is sexy!!
Sad to say it but we still have to improve a lot before people start talking of us as title contenders. How many goal scoring chances did we create last night, not a lot and if we are going to rely on hendo scoring a worldie from 30 yds and lovren also hitting probably his best shot ever then we wont win many. Yes we were very good at times but Look at our bench for last night it was pretty poor so how could we have changed the game if needed also a couple more injures to us would practically wipe us out. All we can truly say at the moment is that we have had a couple of excellent performances and results from a ridiculously hard start but we still only have 10 points from 5 games ( where is the chart this season ). Let's not make ourselves look stupid and set us up to fail with title talk just yet. My plan is to just hope the good form continues and enjoy the fun of challenging for the top 4 again.
the chart is safely stored away waiting for a non banter thread to post it on. how can you be disappointed with "a ridiculously hard start" where we got 10 out of 15 and won 3 v top 4 rivals and drew one.... but christmas gomes by we should be going better IMO
Not disappointed at all, am delighted with most of what I have seen so far this season, just think title talk etc is a bit premature.
I love that he replaces him if he doesn't put the effort in. Sturridge is quickly turning into an enigma. On his day, brilliant but absolutely no consistently. Shame because I thought he was very good last week.
Lets have a look at it after the turn of the year. I've heard everything from '6th or 7th at best' to title talk Lets just be there or thereabout come March/April
As much as it's a bit of fun getting carried away, actually challenging for the title is way off yet. Getting in the top 4 and a trophy would be a great season. If there's more than that then great but we have no idea if that is possible yet.
The title is Manchester cities for the taking imo. I'm just happy that we look like we can challenge for top 4
Any player coming in have to earn his place. Can have to wait for his chance. You don't change a winning team.
