Curtis Davies - The Case For An England Call-Up

Heres another excellent statistical analysis comparing Curtis performance stats this year, and over his time at City, against those of his main England CH competitors, Cahill, Stones, Jagielka, and Smalling, all of whom have been given national recognition.

So why not Curtis.? His stats this year in several categories are far better than those of the above. So come on Sam...he deserves to be in your squad....surely??? If not - why not ???

Because... we are not top 6.... simple as.... the same reason why when we needed a goal scorer for the Euros, Defoe was overlooked, when the best midfielder was not taken Drinkwater .. etc etc...

 

He doesn't play in Manchester, Liverpool or London, that's why.

He'll never get called up, let's be honest. He deserves the recognition but as he's a defender he'll never get it.

 

For Curtis' sake I'd love him to get called up.
For our sake I want him to be overlooked.

 

By the time of the next squad we may have conceded 6-10 goals. So...

 

Im still remembering the days of Smalling and Cleverly as England regulars... think Smalling has come on a bit but at the time they where both in due to the Man Utd shirt they wore..It was at the time that Curtis Davis was a better bet than Smalling...Just wrong club Curtis

The fact Cleverley ever even got called up was insane. ****ing dogshit and got in the squad when Huddlestone and Livermore amongst others were having great seasons. If he hadn't been at Man Utd he would've got **** all.
