I have no sympathy with the Blackpool players and furthermore see no problem with the mighty tigers going down this route when we return to the premier league. I would be happy for Assem Allam to get back the money he used to save the club.

After the disaster of our premiership experience I would hope lessons have been learned. A decent bonus for promotion should be more than enough reward for the players who already get paid thousands of pounds per week for the privelege of wearing the shirt. The old saying, once bitten twice shy springs to mind and I'm sure we won't be twice bitten. Well done to the owners of Blackpool for taking this stance.

    Obviously not a Duffman contract!

I didn't realist they'd lost quite so many players - Charlie Adam, David Vaughan, Andy Reid, DJ Campbell, Rob Edwards, Danny Coid, Ishmel Demontagnac, Paul Rachubka, Marlon Harewood, Malaury Martin, David Carney, Richard Kingson and Jason Euell.

Hope this does negative rather than a positive reaction out of the Blackpool players.

"Eardley has been so badly affected by the dispute that he is not considered to be in the right frame of mind to make the journey to Humberside."

Fortunately for Blackpool, tonight's match will take place in East Yorkshire so his frame of mind will be fine for our match. Why would he want to make a journey to a place that doesn't exist anyway? Or is there something going on at the out-of-touch BBC in Queens Gardens?

How would Eardley be so affected? Lets say for arguments sake he was on £5k per week in the promotion season which possibly went up to £8k in the Prem. Surely the manager/players knew it was a tough ask to stay up so you wouldn't lumber yourself with extra personal debt knowing you're going to have a wage cut 12 months down the line.

Every cloud... I bet he pays less tax this season

Jesus! That guy needs to grow a pair, bet he still gets more a week than many of us can dream of. The cuts in wages is a good thing keeps Blackpool financially stable unlike we were last year, they need to stop whining and realise they are in a very privileged position and need to stop acting like a 3 year old who's had a toy taken off them.

I didn't realise they'd signed Kevin Phillips and Barry Ferguson.

maybe Jimmy Bullard should be forced to parade and wave in front of the Blackpool fans in order to show them what could happen if they do it wrong from now on? Also bring in, Folan, ***an, Wayne Brown, et.al. to reiterate the point....

'Players have gone back to their Championship wages which were awful and while the chairman has offered some of them the same money as last year, that has not been good enough."

Surely this is a joke, to use the words championship wage and joke in the same sentence is ridiculous. Getting paid £6 an hour working in a pub 10 hours a day is a joke. Getting £4k a week for 3 hours of kicking a ball about each day is heaven!

Prime example of football players losing touch with the reality of the real world!

Interesting that they turned the comments off. I wonder what they were hoping for by way of replies?

Oysten's trousered nearly all the cash, yet some hold Blackpool up as a good example.

you say 'some' Dutch. I think you will find that those who hold Blackpool up as a shining example are the very same ex-player type pundits who are extorting a living from the Premiership bandwagon. I find it hard to believe how many ex-players without the real skills to hold down the job now ply their trade in the media, whilst at the same time extolling the virtues of this comfee club termed as 'the best league in the world'.

Oh yes. Actually i thought they had let more go. But i see that I H has brought in 2 more kids this week.
It looks a great time to play Blackpool. They appear all over the place both on and off the pitch. Millions in the Bank
but chaos elsewhere. Both Burnley and Blackpool fans wondering why money is not being spent ? Anyway, as long
as City do a professional job i can see a large City win tonight especially if the Tigers can get an early goal.
Blackpool may just snap big time. If they are to protest, then world wide tv is the place to do it.
