Good Morning Everyone, Joey Barton has been suspended from Rangers and will also miss their weekend fixture. Furthermore, he has been told to stay away from the club until next week. The 34 year old's future is up in the air at the moment, and there is talk about him being thrown out. Being that Leeds are short on midfielders at the moment (just the 18), who would take him on at Elland Road? Bridcutt is fit, and is set to face Cardiff tomorrow. The skipper suffered an impact injury during theie 2-1 victory, midweek against Blackburn Rovers. David Haigh is in hospital. All we know is that he is receiving round the clock care. I am sure we all wish him well. If Monk was not in charge, who would you want?
Morning all... Would have had Barton last season but not now. Why is Haigh in hospital? If not Monk then Clotet just for a bit of consistency, personally I would also take Evans back, problem in doing that could be player respect. I know quite a few want Monk to be given more time, I can cope with that too. We just got the whole start to the season wrong and it leaves you a bit deflated and uncaring.
Morning ristac, not sure what has happened to DH, only heard that he's pretty messed up after what has happened to him, and he has been on all kinds of medication.
Morning bud, you ok. Now I am on it I will tell you. Five days in the canaries. Sun is shining. Bar opens in half an hour. Pool looks inviting. H10 ocean dreams corallejo Spanish estate agents are even more ruthless than their English cousins.
Funny, I never imagined you as a ladies man, Ell. I bet Parsley is disappointed. PS I don't mind sharing.
I could quite happily retire to Gran Canaria... Lovely weather, great beaches and a healthier way of living. I have quite a few clients that spend Oct - Mar living abroad, then the Summer back in England
I am frequently being told that you'll get a cheaper deal if you deal with local smaller Spanish estate agents whereas the English ones will want to make a mark up for themselves...
Barton was my deal get this summer, but he went to Rangers. I think he would have been brilliant for the club and players as we have lacked a Vinny type for years. However I have a feeling that Pontus will be that cult hero player who has steel and respect from the squad. He's a leader so Sorry Joey you missed the bus mate. Manager for me if Monk fails has to be Grayson I'm got my holiday head on too as I fly into Malaga next weekend for a weeks sun, golf, fishfood and letching. I'll be in the Mijas area midway between Puerto Banus and the airport. Think its time Popey and Haye got off Monks back, forever asking if he fears the sack etc. Fook off and let the lad and squad do its job as winding up the players hels nobody. We need some stability so leave it out!!!
One thing really stood out for me at yesterdays Press Conference by Monk. "It takes time, we're just at the beginning, taking small steps". "We're working hard but still at the very start" Followed by " I signed a one year contract, that's my commitment to the club and their commitment to me ". Why did he mention his contract ? How is that going to help reminding everyone you only have 9 months left of your commitment to the club. He's now left himself open to constant questioning about the end of his contract etc. Is he naive or already letting it be known that he'll be available next summer ? Either way I am totally unimpressed.
