    Correct.

    Not the same as fake fan noise though.

    My problem is with SOME of the so called die hards...the ones I have seen being ****ty to other fans at matches (calling them plastics etc.)... is that they are late 20 something year olds making out they are the only fans. I don't often think ****ty things about people younger than me but most of them come across as city ****ers and tbh they annoy the **** out of me ... the ****ers were swimming around in their daddys ball sacks when I was going to spurs as a teenager yet act like you're not a real fan unless you have a season ticket.

    Imo there is next to no hope for safe standing areas as the clubs do not want to spend the money need to adjust the grounds, do not see any money in it as they couldn't change so much to the 10,000 (for arguments sake) fans to stand so would possibly get less gate receipts and the police would be against it. Personally I would be in favour of safe standing though.

    I do think singing areas bring advertised as such are an absolute must so fans who wanna make noise and stand can without annoying others and without getting annoyed at others.

    Bollocks do you. You're always going on about what a bunch of ****s those youngsters you work with are <whistle>

    Unfortunately, I tend to agree with you about safe standing. Although the evidence is there that it works, I don't think clubs in the UK have any appetite to go for it. Shame really as it would offer football fans the choice they want.

    <laugh>

    One them told me to go suck my mothers dick the other day <yikes>

    When I told the head of Personal and Social Development that I didn't think he'd understood their lesson (as a joke), they looked at me and said (completely seriously) "do you think he needs more sex education lessons"
    They then got offended when I said that it would help us pass our OFSTED inspection if they heard the kid tell me suck my mums pussy instead of sucking her cock <laugh>

    Think I have been doing this work too long!!!

    If you go to the game you're a supporter simple as.

    Whether you're a 'new age' middle class Johnny doesn't matter a toss. The PL 'product' has made football attractive to a wider spectrum of people, and anyone who hands over their hard earned to buy a season ticket or goes regularly to the game should be respected by their fellow supporters for doing so.

    The inverse snobbery from the supposed 'hardcore' is absolute bollocks.

    Where I sit at Goodison there's a huge mix of different types of football supporter sat together, there's fans across the spectrum in terms of age, gender, social group etc, and there's never an issue, as we're all there for the same reason.

    At the aways it's different as it's more of a male dominated 'hardcore' support.

    I guess there's an issue in that some people feel they have a 'right' to stand regardless of the impact it has on others and some would rather sit and watch the game. Personally I'd like to stand all game if I could as I find it unnatural to sit down but realise it's 2016 and would piss a lot of people off by standing up every two seconds, so don't. Similarly I'll tone the language down a bit if there's a woman/kid close by. That's what football is now, for better or worse.

    The West Ham thing is exacerbated by a.) shallow stands meaning people who stand up block more people than at other grounds and b.) West Ham fans are mostly not at the current stage of evolution.
