Good stuff so far. Only downside is I can hear someone in my apartment block celebrating 30 seconds beforewe score as my stream is slow!
It all looks easy but with a bit more composure Sparta could have scored. I think we miss Wanyama's physicality in front of the back 4 (who'd have thought I'd ever admit to missing the big W!?).
Great atmosphere and Austin has taken his goals well. But still getting swamped in midfield because of the diamond. Wanyama is a great player. But we miss the two holding midfielders more.
All their really good attacks have come down our left, where they are going 2-1 against Targett and beating him easily for pace. He only has JWP covering and it isn't pretty. The only times they've scared me down the middle are the 8-10 times Romeu has given it away...
Just proves Charlie is a goal scorer........just need those crosses in (keep it up Cuco) and he will score.
Targett should have taken it. The ball might have reached the goal. Have to point out that the Arse penalty was in the 91st minute and changed the result. That one was in the 5th and won't. Karma not restored.
Not saying Wanyama was not good, but you are right this is the key - Romeu at the base is getting swamped and we then often struggle to get from defence into attack and all of our players have their backs to the ball. Targett has got into some good positions and then we have gone back again into defence, it is hard to play through the midfield with this formation.
Have tuned in for the second half. Just getting on board to have a good go at the manager for playing a system I don't want him to play. Don't care if we're winning and its working, its what I think that matters. No changes for 2nd half. COYS
