It's not the players im on about it's his approach to the game and his skill at managing a premiership club......He just dont cut the mustard, his game plan and the way he likes to play is negative football. The thing that annoys me is his praise for the opposition is overboard and detrimental to our players who must feel like ****....
I wouldn't mind Rachel Riley giving me those letters but then again I wouldn't mind her giving me one please log in to view this image
http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...ference-live/story-29719313-detail/story.html I have just read Guidolins interview and to be fair it is embarrassing, He knows nothing of the new trialist (wont try to spell his name), seen him for 15 mins in a game, so who is going decide if we are what we want in January, obviously not the manager. When ask about if Mawson is ready for the PL, his reply is this GUIDOLIN: No. Maybe, I don’t know. He is available to play in this period but I have to know him better because he has just arrived and it is important to know him better. Now that inspires me with confidence, he has been here nearly 3 weeks and he has no idea if he is ready to play. clearly he has had no say in who replaced Williams, I know it was common knowledge, but it just shows how poor our recruitment has been. the last one that staggered me is this 15:28 Is Borja Baston available? GUIDOLIN: I hope yes but I don’t know. He is training and if it is possible he will be available for the bench, I hope. **** you are the manager and you should know if he is ready or not, you see him every day in training and are able to talk to the fitness staff, so you should know, either being cagey or is totally unaware of the condition of his players.
Makes you wonder if Huw is really in charge and makes all the decisions, with Guido as his front man..... Nah - that can't be the case, surely? And don't call me Shirley
You have to wonder if he has any control whatsoever, it also makes you wonder what is going on that on a Thursday he doesn't know if his record signing is ready for Sunday or not. doesn't make for good reading, call me old fashioned but I thought they may have practised a few attacking set plays with the line u due to start on Sunday, doesn't sound to good.
When reading quotes from Guidolin you've got to bear in mind that English isn't his native language. This is the problem when taking his words too literally. he is still learning the English language and isn't very articulate when speaking and often struggles to convey his true feelings. He often gets frustrated when you watch his interviews but, fair play to the guy he's trying and improving on a weekly basis. Mawson: GUIDOLIN: No. Maybe, I don’t know. He is available to play in this period but I have to know him better because he has just arrived and it is important to know him better. That can be interpreted; Mawson is ready fitness wise but isn't going to be involved in the starting 11 as he'd like to work with him more. Borja Baston available? GUIDOLIN: I hope yes but I don’t know. He is training and if it is possible he will be available for the bench, I hope. That can be interpreted; He hopes Baston is ready for the bench Sunday but, he still needs to take things slowly as not to risk further injury.
Yes it could be interpreted that way, but it could also be exactly what he said and meant and he has no idea what is going on. All I can interpret is from the performances so far maybe if he cant get it over to the press it shows he isn't getting it over to the players either. I don't want to constantly be negative, but we also have to stop trying to find excuses for what we are seeing and hearing.
On the training pitch he's constantly surrounded by British coaches and staff and uses an interpreter. So I don't think there will be a problem there. I know that we look a little dodgy so far this season but there are positives and it's still very early into the season. My only disappointment really was the Hull defeat. I think we should have won that game but our key players didn't turn up. (Siggy and Llorente mainly) Leicester was always going to be a difficult game and shouldn't forget that we were playing the champions. Also the weather didn't help and either did our defence. The vardy goal was top class in all fairness and Morgans goal was shambolic and scruffy. We could have easily got a draw towards the end but never happend unfortunately. Chelsea game was bad after the goal in the first half. 2nd half after the substitution we seemed to have a go and got rewarded for our efforts. In all its been a wobbly start but picked up valuable points in a very difficult start to the season. I think things will start to improve especially after this difficult run of games. (Chelsea, Southampton, Liverpool, Arsenal) If we can get anything from these fixtures then it'll set us up nicely. I think realistically 4 points. I'd like to see what kind of team Southampton put out today in the Europa league. If it's a strong team then this will be a benefit to us. And we're always capable of taking a point from Liverpool and Arsenal. The only thing this season is that, I think that all the teams look stronger than ever and we haven't strengthened our team from what we've seen so far. But I'm still pinning my hopes on Baston and Siggy to provide the qualities needed to stay in this league.
This is why the club is in such a poor state.......It's not Swansea city a club with 5 years experience in the top flight any more........It is Jenkins united a one man band that plays lower league football with a lower league manager who dont know his players and dont know the premiership at all.....It's time now for the fans to rise up and call for Jenkins to stand down and Guildo to go....This is not the Swansea city we all know ...This is Jenkins United heading for relegation....
Swan you are right, but isn't it all a little bit like last year without the lucky results (so far), we pick up something and people tend to forget how bad we have been on times. But, it was a little better in the second half against Chelsea. I hope he turns it around, not convinced the performance's can get much better as we watched exactly the same poor quality football last season and nothing seems to have changed apart from losing 2 influential players. If he cant say what he means at news conferences, why not take an interpreter with you for the times he is not sure what he is saying. I still think it shows he has not much control at the club.
There you go, you can make your own judgement on what he's saying for yourself. For me he's addressing the weakness in the squad and as far as Baston is concerned I was correct as you can see for yourself.
Lower leauge manager??? I suggest you look at his past before you make anymore silly comments. Pep when at Byern invited Guidolin to his home to discuss tactics. Maybe he should have invited you instead I suppose. From reading this article You can see why Huw wanted him. Mainly because Guidolin was successful at udinese even though they sold all thier best players. http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/so-who-new-swansea-head-coach-francesco-guidolin-when-hes-home
I actually quite like the guy and given time we will see an improvement. I think we will see him persevere with the 3 at the back formation especially away from home though.
Dont tell me he is premiership standard whatever teams he has managed He dont have a clue what to do and is very happy to let a person who has never played football in his life call the shots... OMG you could not make that up......We need a proper experienced premiership manager and double quick or we will go down and nothing will save us this time.......If we dont change our approach and we do end up in the bottom three then serves our right as our few good player we do have will jump ship quicker than a rat up a drain pipe as we do a toshack and slip down the leagues......If Guildo is the best we can hope for then it's Hello lower leagues playing teams like Hereford on a Tuesday night in front of 4,000 die hard fans......Is this what we want....
Dai I think you need to see a doctor about your tunnel vision. It seems to be getting worse. You simply don't know what the situation is between Huw and Guidolin. Its very common for directors to have the final say in transfers. You don't know if Llorente or Baston signing are solely down to Huw though. Also you can't say how successful we're going to be without seeing our number one striker yet. You've said many times that a striker is the most important player on the pitch so why don't you reserve your irrational judgement until we see how we set up with Baston.
I hope we don't see the back 3 with wingbacks until we actually sign the players that can play that system.
