"took a flash of brilliance from new signing Kodjia to get them on their way on 19 minutes." I wonder if goals scored or appearances are part of the add on?????
I'm sorry I just don't have the same opinion, he joined us for £2.25m , he played 1 full season and netted 20 plus goals ( Our top goal scorer) he left for £11m rising to a possible £15m.. Joined us for a bargain price, performed at his peak and scored massively, sold for a huge profit, a brilliant piece of business for Bristol City FC, I'll welcome him back any time, except for the 90 minutes of play.
We have a temporary replacement in Abraham .... and about 10 months to groom a replacement or acquire one! he was not here long enough to become a city cult figure although we have had a couple loanee's who have been taken into our hearts! tammy if he gets 16 or more league goals will be the in the same frame .. Kodija thanks ... PAST HISTORY but not hall of fame
He started out as a winger. Never a team player either very selfish,we could have scored more goals if he had passed on my occassions.
I tend to be of the opinion that strikers in particular need to have a bit of a selfish streak to be great goalscorers - obviously, there'll have been moments where in hindsight you'd say 'he should have passed', but on the flip side, there'll have been goals he scored because he was single minded, and he scored plenty for us. His actions were pretty deplorable in refusing to train and asking not to be included in the squad, but we fined him the maximum allowed and got a good price for him. Yes, he's history as far as we're concerned, but I won't go as far as booing him when he comes back.
When he decided not to play at Scunny that was a insult to the club and fans. That was when he was history from my point of view. Glad when he went, and very happy we get the best part of 15 million.
I think he will get thousands of boos. Not sure what Villa will give us but if it is 5/6 thousand we will sell the lot.
Hoping Villa stay in the championship then are you? As he will be away on ACON when we play them at Villa park.
I think his refusal to play has tarnished his image somewhat. The bottom line is that it was incredibly good business for us.
Wanted this. wanted that. didn't want to be second man at city. didn't want to play on the wing v Scunthorpe. didn't want to play at all in the end. but for an extra 10k a week he will forget all of that at villa.
Hes not exactly growing on me either.. but he's history to me! And £15m to boot... but he's a way better player thanks he's been given credit for on here... http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/spo...-hero-jonathan-11892493#ICID=sharebar_twitter
Just read the article. No respect for our club or fans,History and a complete and utter disgrace, hope he does not do the same at Villa. Dickhead, greedy, never bonded with us fans or football club. That is a footballer that i despise, due to his unprofessional attitude towards our club.
