I'm absolutely BUZZING for tomorrow for some reason. Watching all this CL football has got me in the mood. I've got a feeling we are going to turn up. COYR
Same here just on way home from work and literally can't wait! I can't remember the last time I was so pumped for the match. Doubled by the fact it's my first of the season too.
I am of course somewhat deflated that my 200ml orange juice carton will be regarded by stewards as a weapon of mass destruction but will soldier on anyway understanding that a 1-0 win will refresh me even more. Anyone know if they check thermos flasks or cheek pouches on entry? I'm riding the bastard rotax/jawa motorcycle in tomorrow so any suggestions of a hill to park it on around St Marys are welcome. Other than that I do think this is the real test of the 'diamond' and look forward to us making a statement to all Europa teams, except Man U who are too busy counting money and moaning about Thursdays.
I just know my shift at work is going to drag so much, especially starting at 5am. What the heck come on you Saints!! Stoke!
Let him do what he thinks is right. Fans moan we didn't sign enough players and then when he rotates, players moan it's too many changes? (Not you). Come on fans, leave the man to do as he sees fit. He does need to rotate during this season.
Come on DL, we moan we needed more players and then we moan when he rotates to rest the ones we have.... We can't have it all ways. Great you make he long journey, but just back the boss and he players he picks. Someone once said, "It's not about the eleven."
I should have read all of the posts before replying to everyone!! Sorry all. But Come on people. We all know we have a lot of games. We must mix things up. I just can't believe the tone being banded around ahead of this. £16 a game, a few changes because it's a busy schedule and our first group stage outing in Europe ever! Let's relish the prospect and enjoy it!!! If people really don't want changes, then why were we clamouring for more players. I woke up buzzing and then read some of last nights posts... More fizzing out than buzzing now
So last season Sparta Praha reached the quarter finals of the Europa. Group (finished 2nd behind Schalke 04): Praha 1 - 0 A.Tripoli Praha 2 - 0 Apoel Nic. Praha 1 -1 Schalke A. Tripoli 1 - 1 Praha Apoel Nic. 1 - 3 Praha Schalke 2 - 2 Praha Rnd of 32: Praha 3 - 0 Krasnodar Krasnodar 0 - 1 Praha (agg: Praha 4-0 Krasnodar) Rnd of 16: Praha 3 - 0 Lazio Lazio 1 - 1 Praha (agg: Praha 4 - 1 Lazio) QF: Praha 1 - 2 Villareal Villareal 4 - 2 Praha (agg: Praha 3 - Villareal 6) While their group was arguably not the strongest, Sparta scored in every single game that they played in the competition, and took a very healthy scalp in Lazio. I think if Saints are able to win tonight it will be massive, as we are undoubtedly up against a very decent team.
Is anyone taking a Hampshire flag just to remind everyone that we come from a particular part of the UK and are unique? Everyone (Liverpool apart) uses the flag of St George and the Union flag, which is fine but not original. So come on, fly the flags of Hampshire, Wessex and Southampton.
I aid not long after the draw, that I think they could be the toughest opponent in the group. I can see it being a battle between us and Inter for second place. That's what my head says. My heart says we are going to smash them, out the park and be 3-0 up in half an hour
- day off work so nice lay in - sun is shining - off to pick up my boy for the day soon - off to watch the mighty Saints in Europe tonight Damn life is good
