It completely devalues the National stadium and ruins the achievement of a Wembley appearance

Why does it bother you so much?
Why do people care about WestHam getting a rented ground?
Nobody seems to mind City getting a rented ground (including United supporters, we just take the piss about the council house)

Will they all have been cup finals?
You could say it will take the gloss off for Spurs and their supporters if they make a final as to them Wembley will be normal.

It was tongue in cheek...only good side of it would be if they face a couple of non or lower league teams in early rounds who then get a day at Wembley which would be unlikely normally.

Sorry, just threw you in with the rest

I really don't understand why people get all bitter and twisted about others good fortune, I think they would be much happier for these stadiums to be left empty like big white elephants rather than see someone get some use out of them.

I'd just rather my taxes didn't go to helping West Ham acquire a stadium, refurb it so its fit for purpose for them and help them pay for policing etc... When they have just been given 100m in tv money for this year.

So you would rather it stand empty and your taxes be used for security and the upkeep of the building so it didn't fall into a state of disrepair and eventually be demolished after costing millions of taxpayers money?

Do you seriously think the council are paying out more than they are getting back off the deal?

You think they'll recoup 486M from WH in rent and the odd athletics jaunt?

Total cost of the stadium including conversion to play football, £701m - West Ham's rent, £2.5m per year - go figure.

?? I never said WestHam would pay for the building of the stadium, just that the council will make a yearly profit by having it used rather than leaving it to stand empty.
