2-0 us, Blackpool might be on a downer from last season, plus we will be underestimated as is often the case.
I can't believe Barry Ferguson dropped into the Championship, he has arguably been Brum's best player over their stint in the Premier League. I'm worried about Kevin Phillips mainly though Tight game, 1-1, Brady to get a goal
Blackpool will be a stern test of what we can expect, 1-1 or Matty to grab us a 2-1 winner.. we won our opening game at the KC last season and our opening game in the PL so recent record is good.. plaus we have a good record at home vs them..
I've only just noticed this and I made the thread lol but the BBC have made a mistake I thought it was our 4th in 6
neither are right.. 2003/4 L2 2nd (promoted) 2004/5 L1 2nd (promoted) 2005/6 Ch 18th 2006/7 Ch 21st 2007/8 Ch 3rd (promoted) 2008/9 PL 17th 2009/10 PL 19th (relegated) 2010/11 Ch 11th 2011/12 Ch ? so it will be our 5th in 7 season in this division..
Correction: 2011/12 Ch 1st Anyway, with regards to the thread, We'll take the lead through Matty and they'll equalise. Half time at the break, Koren to grab the winner in the second half. FT 2-1 City. Specific enough?
Expected lineups? I reckon: Gulasci Rosenior Hobbs Chester Dudgeon Koren McKenna Cairney Brady Fryatt Adebola Subs: Basso, Dawson, Evans, Devitt, Simpson Would prefer to see Simmo starting and Bullard appearing somewhere but I don't see it, especially the latter, although Amber Nectar reckons he's back in first team training, despite reports he's been told not to come back after his two week ban : http://www.ambernectar.org/blog/2011/08/news-number-27-jimmy-bullard/?
Tight game, not much between the sides but i'm going for us to shade it 2-1, Matty and Koren with the goals. Would take a draw however.
A couple of weeks ago, I would have been seriously confident about tonight but Blackpool have done some good business that makes me less confident. Barry Ferguson will hold a side together and Kevin Phillips is always dangerous while the two lads from Liverpool, Bruna and Ince give them legs in midfield. I don't think there's a great deal to fear but so many of their signings are unknown quantities that it's very hard to judge. I'm desperate for us to get off to a good start though. So excited but nervous too.
