Occasionally Astro says something I agree with (quite a lot of the time in non-football related subjects), but hell, even Diego says things I agree with now and again.
There seems to be an assumption that because Astro doesn't get called out much that there's a lot of support for his views, but the fact is it's just amusement at the reaction. He says the most outrageous thing he can think of and gets a bite every time.

If your teams biggest hero scored the winning goal on the last day of the season to win you the league by 1 goal difference which would be more important, the one he scored to get you the 3 points or the one scored by the centre back in the 3-1 defeat in the first game of the season?

 

And somehow everyone convinces themselves that its them doing the winding up, and not him.

Astro should change his username to Teflon Don, people have to realise no matter what outrageous thing he's said in the past and however many times its brought up, it simply doesn't stick to him because he doesn't care.

If you read all my posts in the thread you'll find i said i had the same conversation last year with Astro and a few others and it was that i was reffering to?

He does do most of it on purpose though (not sure about the matchday threads because nobody even answers him there, think that's genuine) and enjoys himself, I personally enjoy jousting with him and find him a good sort who can take the stick and still have fun.

 

The winner. Without the winner you do not win the league. You'd still be +/- 0 if you hadn't scored that consolation. The other goal is important but without the winner the consolation is irrelevant.

To attribute the same value to each and every goal is silly, in my opinion. Yes, there is a tiny, tiny possibility that a title or a position may be decided on a 1 goal swing but in 2012 it was decided by +8 GD, so Aguero's goal was miles more important than any consolation scored that season for City.

Goal difference can be important but winning points is much more important.

 

There's no doubt about that lol but there's also an assumption that we are all serious also which i find quite funny tbh
