So which Goal won the league for City in 2011/12, Agueroooooooooo, or maybe the odd one in a 3-1 loss? Was one more important than the other in the title win?

Yes we lost because we were not good enough. 90% possession is nothing if you don't have the ability to score. The mancs had the most possession of all teams last season and Leicester one of the least...!!!

This is true, and the fact that maybe the team haven't created any chances for the striker in those 35 games make it hard for him to score in those games. There are so much variables even when looking at things like scoring records in big games, because Everton could be more defensive in big games or incapable of getting a foothold in games against stronger teams meaning Lukaku rarely gets the ball its hard to make a definitive judgement of whether his apparently (I haven't looked into it myself) poor scoring record against big teams is a personal problem or a team problem.

The only true measures of a strikers effectiveness are their goal to games ratio and their chance conversion rate.

 

Rubbish. Much more to being a forward to just sticking the ball in the net.

Football is is a team game. Some
flrwards aren't great goal scorers but the way they play helps the team and allows other players to excel

Well I think that's a very rare example and not really the norm. Its something that should be considered but I don't think consolation goals are as important as winning goals or equalising goal as a general rule.
