The lack of marking is a big concern for me. You'd think that at some point someone would have thought "I wonder where Lukaku is". Moyes needs to wake them up.

No more starts for Watmore. If he's going to be good enough at some point then he's going to have to develop somewhere other than in the first team, we can't afford it. Gooch on the other hand offers enough to earn a place in the side and improve that way.

Aye but they scored three in ten minutes - first two in the space of about 3 minutes didn;t they? Difficult for a manager to do much in that short a time (with the first 2 anyhow) He might have had a set plan, then Everton score and the plan changes, then they score again - very little he could do to stop the first 2 goals. The third he might have made changes sooner but who knows if it'd have made a difference

The writing was on the wall as soon as Everton came out for the second half mate, they started to boss the game from the whistle and we didn't react.

Just as Big Sam eventually sorted out a team, I have every confidence Big Dave will do the same, clean sheets are the starting point, it ain't going to be pretty, but we have time on our side. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and we are well seasoned distance runners . <ok>

I'd have both N'Dong, Kirchkoff & Khazri for the Spurs game and then Watmore and Rodwell on the bench.

Agreed on the marking. As Nads said earlier, Djilobodji wasn't really to blame for the first one but on the (?)2nd goal, he didn't know where Lukaku was and that is worrying. As I said previously, first half performance was good but confidence appears to brittle and I think this is to blame for the errors that crept in after the first goal. This has been our problem for years, imo, and although players and managers change it always seems to be there. Baffling.

That first goal was on Khazri twice. First, he offered that weak challenge, but then he became a spectator, only to return to camera's eye as the fatal cross was launched. On the other hand, I saw Coleman break from his own half and Gooch tracked back with him stride for stride, similarly, while scoreless, Lukaku made a run and Kone tracked back with him stride for stride, but when Rodwell lost the ball to Barkley, Barkley was off, and Rodwell couldn't stay with him. Khazri and Rodwell off for now. Gooch looks a decent corner taker.

Rodwell was one of our better players until everybody's heads dropped(when everyone was useless). Surprised he's had so much **** again. our 2nd best passer on the pitch after Januzij, His through ball through to Defoe was sublime. And he made most blocks of the day. He and Hoff looked decent together.

But that's Sunderland for you. Come to accept we make scapegoats of people and have a very unreasonable fan base.

Side note. The way Duncan Watmore's dad has been treated is disgusting. I'm ashamed to be a Sunderland fan today. A pathetic bad tempered, impatient, scapegoating fan base who attack and abuse parents of players on social media and who clearly want players to fail so it can satisfy their hatred and contempt . And a cheap bastard owner who is being shown up by the visiting team donating enough to see a little boy from Sunderland get treatment for his Cancer. That donation should have come from our club. Just because the target for the treatment has been met. They still need to fund the trip. Get your hand in your pocket Short you greedy little ponce. We've had weeks to set the example and donate. Greedy selfish bastard.

Never been more ashamed to support this club. We're the dregs. No wonder fans of every team in the league want shot of us.

It's harsh to read but I'm inclined to agree sadly.

The scapegoating has gone on for as long as I've lived and it's a piss take, bitterness and blame has to come out and I don't see it. Are these the folk in everyday life who have nothing but bad to say about folk? Likely.

Rodwell has been as good as anyone all season, but like Richardson, Jones, Seb etc before him he's a marked man and an easy target.

The assassinations of Love and McNair after less than a full games playing time was sadly fully expected and typical of many, and it's never going to go away.

What's the story with Watmore senior? I've not seen owt.

Horrible isn't it? Seriously at odds with my support of this club at the moment. And my issues lies everywhere except Moysey and the squad.

Social media and pissed up, arsed off football fans don't mix mate.

I'm afraid it's across the spectrum, it'd be wrong to think it's just your club who have idiots who think this kind of stuff is acceptable.

Twitter gives them the platform to vent, and they often choose the wrong target.

Unbelievable! I agree Watmore hasn't been great but it shows everything you need to know about some of our fans.

See classy Josh Winlow using a derogatory discriminatory term! Nice bit of class there! as for the "Nee Offence" - pretentious prick!!

Aye. I've voiced many times my thoughts on the brainless, spineless 'scapegoaters'. It's not productive or needed.

I think I posted about the time I came to blows with someone in he North Stand over Kenwyne, a face I'd never seen in a seat I've had since day one slating him for misconstrue long a ball 2 mins in. Kenwyne scored the winner that day. He also headed away 5 or 6 corners.

There's not a player this season that hasn't been trying, we are a bit short. Watmore probably is the one that should drop out first, but that's not to slate him, he needs a bit more awareness and a bit of work, if anything he's too keen to make something happen, excitable if you like.

Picking holes in players doesn't help. How can it? If someone is short they are short, that's fair, dragging them further back? Insane.
