I would like to see a British version of Fox TV over here, as a counterbalance to the filthy left wing BBC.

I would also like to see Trump's version of the Mexican Wall, only ours starts where Hadrian finished off <cheers>

Lyndon Johnson was the last respectable Democrat President.

Richard Nixon had many good attributes.

    George W Bush was underrated

My favourite however must be Ronnie, what a Golden Era that was <smooch>

My left-wing friends tell me that the BBC has a right-wing bias, because Auntie is in thrall to the Tories:emoticon-0109-kiss:. I think it is admirably neutral, despite Paxman describing himself as a one-nation Tory (after he left newsnight of course), and Andrew Marr's clear reverence of Mrs T, and his loathing of Yer Darlin' 'Arold, in his series the History of Britain.

Andrew Marr is steeped in left wing politics - he married into Labour aristocracy (Guardian Political Editor/daughter of a Labour MP) as well as formerly being the Editor of the left wing Independent.

Then you have Paul Mason...Robert Peston (both Labour), Stephanie Flanders (Miliband's lover)....

Andrew Marr is an idiot full stop. The entire show is designed around his ego, keen on stealing the headlines.

    Er...Robert Peston's ITV!
And the "left-wing" Independent said "Vote Tory" at the last General Election. Nothing to do with the fact that the owner Lebedev is a non-dom, and Labour wanted to abolish their tax privileges!

Peston steeped in BBC ways, and now spreading his left wing witchcraft on ITV. Son of a Labour peer and the epitome of a floppy haired Islington luvvie. Marr/the Independent have never said "Vote Tory" <doh>.

Check out the Wiki page of Paul Mason <cheers>

The Independent did indeed come down for the Tories at the last election, first time they'd done so. Marr has never said "Vote Labour", nor has anyone else at the Beeb. But Marr's obvious hero-worship of Mrs T, and his clear contempt for Harold Wilson were embarrassing, whatever connections he may have.

I'm amazed that someone of your erudition is not aware that Marr is lifelong, tribal Labour.

You will be claiming Scotland can win the World Cup next

It shows what can happen when a rabid fan gets to manage a national team.

Think this whole left/right paradigm needs to be binned. It's about as archaic as the Royal family and pretty pointless. If you look around, people are not "right wing" or "left wing" anymore. The BBC just portrays views of a nation."

If anything I'd say the BBC is progressive and moralistic than either right wing or left wing, and more representative of the views of the youth than that of older generations.

I kind of agree with you somewhere, Holden, though not sure how I'd put it down in writing (maybe still tired from stag do). I would say however that I think more than ever we have a left and a right.

Right Wing = Hang 'em & flog 'em. Apoplectic with rage:emoticon-0121-angry after reading in the Daily Mail about a father of 24 living off benefits in a mansion. Pro Fox-hunting.
Left Wing = Beard & Sandals:afro:, collects Polly Toynbee articles in the Guardian. Doesn't wash in order to save water and save the planet.

Hope this clears it up for you, China?

Explains why they are so in and out of football matches. Sums up Harriott perfectly.

What about legalising marijuana? And decriminalisation of prostitution? Pretty sure you can cease drug and human trafficking with that.
