“Sissoko is a great player. But when I bought into Everton I made it clear I was proud to join a family. And we don’t turn our backs on our own."
“Keeping James McCarthy was a priority and ultimately we could not proceed with a deal that would jeopardise his place at Everton."
"We wish Sissoko the best.” - Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, 1/9/16.

"We had a disappointment on the last day, but that happens in football, because you don't get always what you like to have.
"It was not in our hands with Sissoko." - Everton manager Ronald Koeman, 8/9/16.

Oops.
The definition of being 'off message' methinks!! <laugh>

Reports are saying that Kyle Walker's the next player to sign a new contract, reportedly worth £75k a week with a testimonial thrown in for good measure.
Well deserved. Best player of the season so far and a top professional. Has pulled his career back on course the last couple of years.
Only worry is that he probably does over rely on his incredible pace to get himself out of trouble, but right now there isn't a better RB in the PL. :emoticon-0148-yes:

I am hoping the increase in PL lucre is easily funding the wage increases for the guys,
as Levy has had to fight hard to keep the wage bill on a plateau since the last time
Spurs had a wage bill ramp in a CL season.

That's great news, hopefully Rose gets one as well, I feel as though them two should come as a package lol.

Walker's been our best player this season, his run for our 3rd goal yesterday was unbelievable, long may it continue.

What really impressed me about his performance yesterday was how well he coped without Lamela protecting him. Previously, without that extra cover, Kyle has shown a tendency to get dragged out of position, caught ball watching or generally lose concentration. He lost Arnautovic once yesterday when he let him out of his pocket for some fresh air.

Fantastic counter. They get a corner and ten seconds later we've got half the team in their box lining up to kick the ball in.
Meanwhile, most of the Stoke side are ambling back, like they're on a leisurely country stroll.

Both are at the top level now and would walk into most other sides in the PL. Most sides top PL have one really good full back but I can't think of another side that has 2. Both could walk into Citeh's team and Walker would immeasurably improve United. They're both northern boys, albeit Yorkies, so a nice lucrative contract with one of the Manchester Megabucks teams could be very attractive. However, there's no show of that with both being committed to the club and the cause. Thanks lads!

Kyle Walker has long been my favourite player. A fantastic work ethic both on the pitch and the training ground. He loves the club in the same way men like Paul Robinson and Michael Dawson do. Great news he's going to be around for a few more years.

I'm thinking new deal for Jan or maybe Lamela.

Would be pure banter if it ended up being Tommy Carroll <laugh>

A week or so ago, I heard the idiot that is Adrian Durham giving his opinion on Harry Kane's appalling failure to score in his first 3 games of this season. One of the 'reasons' he offered was that he was continually being offered and signing new contracts and that was distracting him.

I appreciate that Durham's knowledge of bringing on young footballers is comprehensive and that it is better to pay Ross Barkley £60k per week after a couple of decent games, rather than to increase his wages incrementally, based upon continued progress. I mean, giving a 20 year old £3m a year when he's achieved bugger all and had 1 good season, what could possibly go wrong? David Bentley? Never heard of him!

Seeing our lads progressing and being rewarded for it should be THE BLUEPRINT for how to manage young footballers and long may it continue and the young talent keep coming.

A candidate for the "John Pilchard" 2016-17 award for joining the dots up ...
and ending up with a picture of a c**k.
