Trying to make a transition with a new stadium and want to be up there with the biggest clubs but it seems there is a lot of work to be done behind the scenes and with some of the people high up there it just isn't going to happen. It seems there's always someone to blame and no ownership of the well known problem with their own fans. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37343996
I reckon the Spanners got that stadium because Seb Coe is a secret Alf Garnet fan. Admittedly, as far as conspiracy theories go, this isn't up there with JFK or 9/11, but I thought I'd mention it, anyway.
Sold a lot of season tickets though. Perhaps not surprising at around £50 a pop, but at least they'll get the crowds for one season at least. It would be a desperate shame if they ended up in a relegation battle. Wouldn't it?
It's a club that I always used to have a lot of time for when I was a kid. They always played good football and you could go to matches without all the nonsense you get nowadays. In all honestly, too many of their 'fans' are just scum looking for somebody to have a row with.
Warren Mitchell is actually a spurs fan, so something went wrong there. No spurs or Wham fans were in the twin towers that day btw. Fact.
The plot thickens! So, let's recap... We've got a double-agent who, whilst being a Spurs fan as himself, poses as a West Ham fan when adopting his bigoted, arrogant and ignorant alternate-ego, and who may or may not have been there the day that the Twin Towers came down... Hm. Can we link any of this to the Great Pyramid or the Anunaki?
It would be a good start if there were any West Fans on this site! God alone knows what's happened to vicious little Lee and Little Urn! I reckon they must have both had a confrontation with the cops and then topped themselves Raoul Moat style.
Ironically Alf Garnet was Spurs fan and you would possibly expect a real Spurs fan to know that.......but wait!
Yes you must have modelled yourself on Warren Mitchell as you dress up as Saints fan 08 to air your bigoted, offensive views.
Alf Garnett is a fictional character, Warren Mitchell was a real person who ad-libbed a lot of his racist remarks and had no problem with doing so.
considering there were no police, no segregation between opposing fans and the final result after being 2-0 up you have to ask, if our fans are soooo bad, why wasn't there a far bigger problem? And why, if it isn't down to the stewarding, were all the problems centred around the stewards? there have been problems inside the ground in our last 3 matches, all being caused by inexperienced draconian stewarding and poorly thought out ticket allocation. It's sheer frustration with that, not thuggery, otherwise it would've been far worse
Everything you say is true but the fans are also a problem, as is the club who should be doing more to prevent this other than reacting after the event.
http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37348308 At the end of the day West Ham should be making the right noises getting the right systems in place for the fans, chucking blame around is making everyone involved look cheap. Maybe a stabbing has to happen before everyone involved here gets their arse into gear.
I saw it as a satirical take on someone who was racist, an anachronistic dysfunctional working class man, hankering after an England that never actually ever existed.
